To agree or to disagree? I’m here to tell you and give examples of haves and have nots but also
the hunters and huntees. Firstly, I'll talk about being book smart and street smart. Secondly, I will
talk about the rich and poor. Lastly, I am going to be talking about sexism. I will now begin this
essay showing examples and explaining the theory of haves and have nots which were said in
To begin with, I would like to talk about what it is to be book smart and street smart.
Book smart people and street smart people are two different people. According to
https://citypersonnel.net, being book smart is better because it is highly beneficial and is great for
your academics. With that being said, it is better to be book smart because it’ll help increase your
intelligence quotient (IQ). People who are book smart rely on research or on books.
Street smart people are better at thinking on their feet and in agreement with
https://www.linkedin.com in some cases, book smart people have less common sense than street
smart people. People who are street smart are often good at thinking on their feet and are great
improvisers. They can also catch on quickly by observation of behavior and more. Street smart
I think being book smart is better. Like I said previously, it’s good to be book smart in order to
be successful, business wise and academic wise. I think being book smart is a crucial part in
investing through stock markets and more. With that, you can start a business and also pay off
debt.
Poor people have less advantages because they have less money meaning that they have a
disadvantage compared to people with more money or those who are richer and have more of an
world began to increase at the time before the population of poor people, which was 3.8 billion
Like said in, https://thomasjfrank.com, I agree with the statement that states “Rich mindset seeks
to spend their time, resources, and energy on work that continues to pay off long after the effort
has been invested”. I’d say richer people see money as an advantage rather than just something
that rich people see money as an opportunity and not as a goal because well, they have more
money which they can use to do the things you would like to do and pursue your future.
People say “girls aren’t as strong as boys” but it can go both ways. People also expect
men to be strong, for example the saying, “boys don’t cry”. This is also an example of
against men. Long ago, men and women couldn’t get the same education, women
couldn’t own land and they could only do house chores whereas boys worked on the land
A big part of sexism in the world is sexism in sports. Like I described in the last paragraph,
people don’t expect women to be as strong and so they assume women can’t play certain sports
but they’re wrong. There are many women's sports teams, for example the WNBA. People
stereotype girls as “not strong enough”, but girls can be just as strong as boys.
People lack more respect in women than in men. Another concept of this is sexism in the
business department. There is something called “The glass ceiling”, and the glass ceiling is
explained as “discriminatory barriers that prevent women from rising to positions of power or
responsibility and advancing to higher positions within an organization simply because they are
womens brands. For example, Victoria’s Secret. Victoria’s Secret is a women's brand for
undergarments, perfumes and more. A man named Roy Raymond bought and owns Victoria’s
Secret and has owned it since 1977 ( https://en.wikipedia.org ). Women in business have a
difficult time rising in the industry rather than men like stated in the glass ceiling. I think this is
true because generally, people don’t take women seriously when it comes to business.
This being said, I talked about all three topics, book smart and street smart, sexism, and the rich
and poor which are examples of the hunters and huntees and the haves and have nots.
I have stated that book smart is better, the rich have more advantages, and that women are seen
