Programme.

Entry Qualifications

I. A Bachelor of Education degree (SLQF 6) from a recognized University or UGC approved

Educational Institution
II. Any other Bachelor’s degree (SLQF 5 OR 6), with Postgraduate Diploma in Education from
a recognized University or UGC approved institution
III. Completion of NVQ level 7 (Equivalent to Bachelor’s degree in SLQF) with Postgraduate
Diploma in Education from a recognized University or UGC approved Institution as
determined by the Faculty Board of the FoE and the Senate of University of Colombo and
minimum of three years of experience in the field of Education
And
IV. A working knowledge of English language and satisfactory performance at a
selection test and/or an interview.

Each application under (III) shall be considered on its merit.

How to Apply

Applications can be downloaded from the Faculty Website; (https://edu.cmb.ac.lk/). Completed

applications along with the certified copies of the national ID/Passport, birth certificate, relevant
educational and professional certificates and the payment slip should be scanned and emailed in
the PDF format to med2023@edu.cmb.ac.lk and also sent through the registered post to reach
the Senior Assistant Registrar, Faculty of Education, University of Colombo on or before
30th June, 2023.

Application Fee of Rs. 1000/- for the local applicants and US $ 25 for international applicants can
be made by using the relevant code (Bank code) to any Peoples’ Bank Branch.
