EXPLANATION OF THE LOGO

It is with great pride and honour to explain to you the six (6) distinct
features of St. Joseph College of Canlaon, Inc. Alumni Association
logo.
On the left side is the statue of St. Joseph who is the Patron Saint of
Canlaon City and our school. Saint Joseph as the husband of the
Virgin Mary and legal father of Jesus Christ. Saint Joseph is
venerated as the Protector of Mary and Joseph and the people of
Canlaon City and the administrators, faculty, staff, benefactors,
friends of education, parents and students of our school.
From that inspiration in 1962, the Columban, the Franciscan and the
Diocesan Fathers and together with the Franciscan Apostolic Sisters
(FAS) established St. Joseph College from the former St. Joseph
Academy as represented by the two iconic figures on the right. The
college department started way back 1985 and we have produced
thousands of graduates from that year onwards.
The upper part of the logo shows the towering Acacia trees that
symbolizes our great love for nature and the variants of green color
in the background symbolizes wisdom and our unquenchable thirst
for education.
The generic building displays simplicity yet promoted  public
identification and recognition by the accomplishments of our
graduate in the basic and higher education here and abroad.
The silhouette and abstract design of peoples representing our
teachers and students who may have gone ahead of us while others
are still enjoying the journey we call LIFE.
Ladies and Gentlemen, after 38 long years of toil, welcome to this
First Grand Alumni Homecoming.
