Reflection of Seminar/Webinar

1. State your learning and realization in the topic

The topic is all about AutoCAD. Interact CAD, also known as MicroCAD in early
Autodesk documents, was created in 1977 and launched in 1979. Michael Riddle, a co-
founder of Autodesk (then Marinchip Software Partners), wrote the program before
Autodesk was established. After watching the webinar, I learned the types of CAD
Software that most of the companies use, the first one is SolidWorks, a solid modeling
computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided engineering (CAE) application. The
second one is Inventor, a 3D CAD software provides professional-grade mechanical
design, documentation, and product simulation tools. The third is the Revit, a BIM
software helps architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) teams create high-
quality buildings and infrastructure. The fourth one is AutoCad, the one we are using
right now. AutoCAD is sophisticated CAD software that is synonymous with engineering
drafting, The concept of AutoCAD evolved way back in the 1980's, when engineers and
architects were seeking to harness the power of newly introduced personal computers
to reduce the drafting time. The fifth one is Civild 3D software, a program that helps civil
engineers design and plan various infrastructure projects. This program can be used to
create three-dimensional models of proposed structures, and it can also be used to
simulate how those structures will behave in the real world. The sixth one is the
MicroStation, a software that users worldwide trust for creating precise 2D and 3D
drawings for infrastructure projects. Engineers, architects, and construction
professionals openly collaborate to deliver inspiring projects, utilizing the industry
leading DGN file format. The seventh one is CATIA, a globally and widely used software
that delivers 3D design, Computer-aided engineering solutions, PLM, and Computer-
aided manufacturing solutions. The software is commonly used in manufacturing
industries and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to increase designing,
analyzing, and managing new products. The eight one is Creo, a family of 3D CAD
parametric modeling apps that aids in product design for all types of manufacturers
using 3D direct modeling, finite element analysis, technical illustrations and
visualizations. The last one is Siemens NX, a software that is flexible and powerful
integrated solution that helps you deliver better products faster and more efficiently. NX
delivers the next generation of design, simulation, and manufacturing solutions that
enable companies to realize the value of the digital twin.
Those are the 9 types of CAD Software that most of the companies use, and I hope to
be able to learn and use all that software someday. Thank you for the webinars about
those CAD software, we learned a lot from this webinar and it really helps us a lot.
