a) There was a planned robbery on the Mumbai C�-Howrah Junction Duronto express. This
special train has no scheduled halts across the entire journey of around 20001an and 26
hours. Technical halts are scheduled at random stations, one in Maharashtra, one in
Chhattisgarh and one in Orissa. It was not clear whether the robbers were in the train since
it's departure from Mumbai CST or boarded it during any of the technical halts or whether
they boarded at different technical halts in a systematically planned syndicate. Before the train
reached Howrah Junction, all the robbers had escaped the scene of offence .
