. DO NOT SOLDER ON BATTERY WITH POWER CONNECTOR ON A/D BOARD
When putting cover back on be sure to justify Keyboard cable to the left side of the
connector as there may be one more pin on the connector than on the cable.
. On left side of board there is a header with three rows of pins. The cable connector with
two rows of pins plugs into the two rows on the header nearest the center of the board.
The single row connector plugs on the row of pins nearest the outside edge of the
board.
. The power cable has a locking tab. Care must be used to release the tab as the con-
nector is removed.

A. Zero Adjustment
. Turn scale on.
. Level scale using four adjustable feet. (Fig. 1 Item A)
. Remove shipping screw. (Fig. 1 Item B)
Turn machine off.
. Hold down “0” key while turning on machine.
. Internal value will now be displayed in Price/lb window.
. Adjust VR4 until display reads 12,500 plus or minus 50 counts. (Fig. 2)
Note: VR4 is the pot. located nearest the keyboard behind the adjustment cover in the
scale base.
. Apply a small amount of weight to platter and make sure number decreases.
Depress “0” key to return scale to normal operation.

B. Span Adjustment
Start with scale leveled, and the weight display indicating 0.00
2. Place thirty pounds on the platter and note error. A reading of 29.96 would equal an
error of -0.04. If the scale indicates OL, use 29 Ib.
Remove weight from scale.
Multiply error from step 2 above by .5. (.5x-0.04=-0.02)
. Adjust VR3 to display, in weight window, the result of step 4 with no weight on platter.
(-0.02) (Fig. 2)
Note: VR3 is the pot. located nearest the customer display behind the adjustment cover
in the scale base.
6. Depress “Z” key to zero scale.
7. Repeat steps 2 through 6 until 30 pounds reads 30.00.

Remove power adapter from scale.
Remove platter and set aside.
Tum scale upside down and remove four Phillips head screws - one near each foot.
Tum scale over.
Lift up keyboard side of cover enough to unplug keyboard cable from display/main
board. Remove cover and set aside.
To install reverse above procedure

Main/display Board Removal and Installation
Remove cover.
Lift main board off six retaining posts.
Unplug connector from right upper side of board.
Unplug two connectors from left edge of board.
To install board reverse above procedure.

center of the board. The single row connector plugs on the row of pins nearest the
outside edge of the board.
Customer Display Board Removal and Installation
1. Remove cover.
2. Lift board and remove two cables from the board.
3. To install board reverse above procedure.
NOTE: The cable with the single row of pins goes on the three row header on the
row nearest the edge of the board

Remove cover.
Remove Main/Display board.
Unplug power cable at back left comer of board.

NOTE: The power cable has a locking tab. Care must be used to release the tab

4. Remove four screws holding A/D board to bottom of scale.
5. Record the color and location of wires from load cell and unsolder cable.
NOTE: DO NOT SOLDER ON BOARD WITH POWER CONNECTOR ON.
6. To install reverse above procedure.
Load Cell Assembly Removal and Installation
Remove cover.
Remove four screws holding bottom lower cross to base assembly.
Cut wire wrap holding load cell cable to base.
Unplug power cable at back left comer of A/D board,

5. Record the color and location of wires from load cell and unsolder cable.
NOTE: DO NOT SOLDER ON BOARD WITH POWER CONNECTOR ON.
6. To install reverse above procedure.
Battery Removal and Installation
Remove cover.
Unplug power cable at back left corner of A/D board.
Remove four screws holding bottom lower cross to base assembly
Set load cell assembly beside the scale.
Remove two screws holding battery bracket and remove bracket.
Unsolder leads from load cell
