Our Success Stories

The company has executed many successful projects that range from SMB projects to large scale
Enterprise level projects. The most important projects are:

Bank of Commerce and Development Project 2006

Our company had a contract with the BOCD BANK to develop and upgrade their existing bank network
by interconnecting the bank branches in a secure, redundant, and optimal way.

After a complete site survey and extensive studies of the existing network and the current and future
system demands, we conducted the following:

• Replaced Bridged network with a routed network that led to noticeable improvements in
network performance.
• Unified all network equipment using Cisco products that led to creating a homogenous
network and eased the centralized network management.
• Interconnected main branches using Fractional E1 rented from the HLC optical fiber network.
• Connected small branches to the HQs using the following technologies:
o Wireless links
o G.HDSL leased lines
o Optical fiber
o VPN through the Internet
• Installed Ericsson PBXs in all bank branches.
• Connected the PBXs using VOIP (Voice and FAX) so that employees can call each other
internally using the data network.
• Encrypted all wireless links.
The result was epic as this was the first bank in Libya to be totally connected and the Bank customers
was able to do transactions and benefits the Bank services in any branch of the bank.

General Electricity Company (GECOL) Project 2006

Our company had a contract with the GECOL to install and connect Ericsson 20 PBXs with different
capacities and a total number of 10,000 analog and digital extensions.

The company executed the following:

• Installed number of PBXs in:

o Ericsson MD110 in HQs.
o Ericsson Business Phone 250 in large branches.
o Ericsson Business Phone 50 in small branches.
• Connected HQs’ PBXs in Tripoli, Benghazi, and Musrata using ISDN technology over microwave
links.
• interconnected PBXs of large and small branches using HDSL
• Installed voice mail, auto attendant, and call billing systems in all branches.

 • Upgraded software for all PBXs to insure compatibility with the latest connection
technologies.

Diyar Albaher 2007

We have contracted with Diyar Albaher to deliver a Triple Play Services technology to develop a
number of electronic integrated services in the existing 50 villas, and to extend the services in near
future to include 200 villas.

We have integrated a number of technologies from the following vendors:

➢ IP DSLM for Keymile

➢ IPTV from Scientific Atlantic
➢ Premises Management and VoD form Eona

Using these integrated technologies we have successfully offered the following services:

• IP TV.
• Internet access through the TV set.
• Internet access using a laptop (Ethernet Connection).
• Video on Demand.
• Telephone services.
In this project, the existing telephone cables were used to carry data and voice calls simultaneously
using the following technologies:

• ADSL2+ Modem in each Villa has been installed.

• IP Set top box connected to the TV set.
• IP DSLAM has been installed to aggregate ADSL2+ Modems.
• Number of servers used to manage the network.

Ras Lanouf 2007

Our company had a contract with Ras Lanouf Company to install and upgrade their telephone network
which included a total number of 5500 internal phone line. In this project our company accomplished
the following tasks.

• Installed a new PBX in the Ras Lanouf oil and gas refinery complex with a capacity of 2300
phone lines.
• Upgraded the PBX of the Ras Lanouf residential compound by adding 1200 new phone lines.
The upgraded system now has a capacity of 3200 phone lines which is capable of serving the
recent and projected demands associated with the expansion of the residential compound.
• Installed new PBXs in Ras Lanouf Company braches in Tripoli and Benghazi
• Connected all company PBXs using the ISDN digital technology.
• In 2006 our company upgraded the entire Ras Lanouf Company network to its maximum by
implementing the start of the art technology at the time.

Al Waha 2005

Our company executed a number of successful projects for Al Waha oil Company in the area of
communication using fiber optics by using KEYMILE Equipment. Among these projects our company
conducted the following,,

• Connected Al-Sedra oil port with the Marine Cable Station, located in the Ras Lanouf
residential compound, through which the port is connected to the company headquarters in
Tripoli.
• Connected ALseyahia HQ building with their branches in Tajuraa & Zawia St.
• Connected the Marine Cable Station with the Repeater Station Number 7, located 11
kilometers from the Ras Lanouf residential compound, through which some of Al Waha oil
fields are connected to the Al Waha Company network.
• Added a new link to connect the company location in Tripoli to the main post station for the
marine cable, located at kilometer 4, through which all company locations are now directly
interconnected.

Libyana Mobile Phone (2009)

Our company executed a very huge successful project for the Libyana Mobile Phone Operator in
Routing & Switching, Advanced Security (ASAs, CSMARS, FWSM, IDSM), IP-Telephony (CUCM,
Unity, IVR), WAN Optimization). Among these project solutions, our company conducted the
following:

• Upgrading all the cooperate Network Infrastructure and installing 26 new branches.
• Deployment includes redundant 6513 Core switches with FWSM and IDSM.
• Upgrading redundant IP-Telephony System from Cisco call manager version 4.1 to version 6
and deploying more than 400 IP Phone in the HQ and remote branches.
• Deploying two voice gateways for Load balancing and redundancy.
• Deploying Unity 5.0 For voice messaging.
• Deploying Cisco IVR system.
• Connecting all the sites with the HQ using two 7200 series routers.
• Implementing WAAS technology between the HQ and 26 sites to accelerate and optimize the
WAN connections.
• Implementing NAC system in the HQ and remote sites.
• Connecting all the sites with HQ to be able to transfer Data, Voice and video.

Wahda Bank (2009)

Our company executed a very huge successful project for the wahda Bank in Routing & Switching &
Advanced Security. Among these project solutions, our company conducted the following:

• Deploying the Network of 2 HQ using 6513 core switches with FWSMs and IDSMs.
• Deploying the Network of other 4 main sites using 4507 & 4503 Switches.
• Connecting all the sites with the HQ using 2800 and 3800 series routers.

HLC- MPLS National Network (2013-2020)

Our company has deployed this project for HLC in the area of MPLS using Cisco solutions, where this
project is considered one of the biggest National projects as this project helped transfer the Libyan
infrastructure by far and advanced the following sectors as first stage:

HLC & POST Offices.

Customs Authority.

Telcom (by helping adopt the LTE and soon 5G with the large capacities of Bandwidth)

Banking & some other entities.

Altaqnya had deployed this Project in more than 70 sites across the country and overcame the
difficulties at the time and successfully deployed the project in all around Libya (West, East and South)
with the local engineers where it was difficult to foreign companies to accomplish such project is such
circumstances.

Jomhoria Bank Vulnerability Assessment 2021:

Our team with Jumhoria Bank team, have carried out the vulnerability assessment for the Bank assets
to mitigate patch any vulnerability existed to mitigate any potential security threats.

Sirte Oil Veeam Back up 2021:

Our company with have deployed Veeam Backup solution to get Sirte Oil Company critical applications
and data backed up to meet the compliance requirements as well as to get the data back in case of
any issues.

Almadar Public and Private Cloud Infrastructure Expansion (ongoing) 2021:

Our company will be carrying out the expansion for the Public and Private cloud infrastructure for
Almadar, our team is working with Dell-EMC as well as Almadar team to accomplish this project.
