Dear Colleagues,

We are grateful to invite you and your students to participate in the 2023 “Global
Mathematics Competition – GMC”. Students from grade 2 to grade 8 in the academic
year of 2022-2023 are welcomed.

The competition is organized by GMaths Education and other partners partnerships

in Vietnam from July 1 st to July 4th, 2023 in Hanoi City- the capital of Vietnam. The
examination day is onat July 2nd morning.

 ABOUT GMC
I. Introduction
Global Mathematics Competition – GMC 2023 is organized by GMaths Education and
other partners with the purpose of improving mathematic skills and creating global
environment for students to develop their knowledge in math.
There are 7 levels for students from grade 2 to grade 8 in school year 2022-2023.
II. Date and location
 Date: July 1st to July 4th, 2023
 Examination day: July 2nd, 2023
 Location: Hanoi City – Vietnam
III. Competition details
1. Individual competition:
 Exam time: 90 minutes
 Paper – based exam with 25 multiple choice questions
 Total score: 100 points, 4 points each question.
2. Team competition:
 There are 3 groups for 7 levels:
Group A Group B Group C
Grade 2 to 3 Grade 4 to 5 Grade 6 to 8
 Each team with corresponding levels for each group will consist of 4 students.
 Exam time: 30 minutes.
 Students have first 10 minutes for team discussing without using pens or
pencils, next 10 minutes for individual working and the last 10 minutes for
team working.
 There are 10 short answer questions. Students do not need to show their
works.
 The first 8 questions for individual working will be handed out in separated
paper sheetss at the beginning, each team has 10 minutes for discussing, after
that the team will be separated for individual working, each student needs to
do at least one question in 10 minutes. (After the first 10 minutes, students
are not allowed to discuss.).
 The 2 last questions will be handed out in paper for team working in 10
minutes after the first 8 questions are collected.
 Total score: 100 points, 20 points each question.
IV. Award
Given to top 80% performing students in each grade as follows:.
 Gold medal and Certificate for top 8%
 Silver medal and Certificate for the next 16%
 Bronze medal and Certificate for the next 24%
 Merit Certificate for the next 32%
 Certificate of participation forof the rest

VI. Fee

Competition fee 50 USD

(Including medal, T-shirt, certificate)
Hotel accommodation, meals, tours and Gala dinner 450 USD
(4* hotels according to the program: standard 02 adults/room.
Room 3 will be arranged when necessary if the group is male or
female.)

 Confirmation of participation: no later than May 1st
