Pafiares-Principal 2, Don Juan dela Cruz CES To cope with the demands of the dynamic society in the 21st century as fundamental to acquiring communicative competence in a second foreign language, the DepEd Davao City Division under the Curriculum Implementation Division will conduct Division SPFL Festival of Talents/Planning Conference for SPFL Regional Festival of Talents (SPFL-RFOT) on May 30, 2023 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm., at Sta. Ana Central Elementary School, R. Magsaysay Avenue, Davao City. 2. Identified members of the Division Technical Working Group and the committee members are advised to attend the Coordination Meeting / final briefing and ocular inspection on May 16, 2023, at Sta. Ana Central Elementary School, R Magsaysay Avenue, Davao City from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. 3 Hall preparation shall be done on May 27, 2023 (Saturday). Technical working group in charge of the hall preparation shall be entitled for a one-day service credit per DepEd Order 53 s. 2003 or the Updated Guideline on Grant of Vacation Service Credits to Teachers and Compensatory Time-off for non-teaching personnel, 4, Enclosed is the list of participants, technical working group, matrix of activities, guidelines, and mechanics of events for reference. 5. Planning Conference among DFOT winners shall take place at Sta. This shall be done under exhibition category. Bach school shall register one (1) participant (learner) and one (1) teacher-coach per foreign language. Foreign languages included in the FLE are (1) Spanish, (2) Mandarin, (3) Nihongo and(4) Korean. FLE shall be participated by all implementing schools in Davao City. The Division SPFL coordinator shall upload to the Google Form the picture and description of the character that the participants shall portray. The Division Technical Working Group (DTWG) shall print it to serve as reference. Participants shall wear the costume of a famous character relevant to their foreign language (Spanish, Mandarin, Nihongo, or Korea’s film, politics, history, literature, culture, and religion). Only accessories as part of the costume are allowed. ‘Teacher-coaches and parents are allowed to assist their participants and provide their snacks thirty (30) minutes prior to the start of the event. Afterwards, participants shall enter the holding area. Drawing of lots by participants for their number identifier shall be done thrirty (30) minutes before the event proper. . Prior to the start of the event, participants shall parade before the audience. . The DTWG shalll provide participants with materials (pen, paper, and contest picture). Participants shall be given three (3) minutes to study the picture (e.g. about oneself and others, family and home, friends, school, and community). Then, participants shall deliver a two-minute introduction of a famous character that they portray, culminating in a maximum of two-minute speech delivery describing the given picture. K. Participants are expected to use foreign language in a easual or conversational manner. L. Colored flags shalll be raised by the DTWG to cue the participants during the contest proper. Green flag shall be raised to inform theparticipants on the ‘start of their allotted time,” yellow flag to signal the remaining “30 seconds,” and red flag to signal that their “time is up.” When the red flag is raised, the participants are expected to stop thei speech delivery.
