Vaibhav Respirable Dust Sampler VRDS 500NL is designed to
measure respirable suspended particulate matter in ambient air. It is
used for collection of PM10 suspended particulate matter up to
small as 0.1 micron in size. It also has provision to collect samples
of gaseous pollutants such as SO2, NOx, H2S, F2, CL2, etc. in
impinger tubes for further analysis to determine their individual
concentrations. This advanced unit is meets the requirement
recommended by the Central Board for Prevention & Control of
Water Pollution, New Delhi. Emission regulations (December
1985) Part III.
TECHNICAL WORKING : Ambient air laden with suspended particulate enters the system through the corrosion free
aluminum modular inlet pipe. As the air passes through the cyclone, which divides the particulate matter in to two
fractions one is Respirable dust and another coarse cum non Respirable dust from the air stream by centrifugal forces
acting on the solid particles. These separated particulates fall through the cyclone’s conical hopper and collect in the
sampling bottle place at its bottom. The fine dust forming the Respirable fraction of the Total Suspended particulate
(TSP) pass through the cyclone and is carried by the air stream to the Filter Paper, clamped between the top cover and
filter adaptor assembly. The respirable dust is retained by the filter and the carrier air exhausted from the system
through the blower.
STANDARD ACCESSORIES : The Standard instrument is supplied with set of sample inlet assembly, Main instrument (Main
Instrument consist of blower, filter holder assembly, voltage controller, time totalizer, digital timer, manometer assembly etc..),
User convenience kit with tools, operational manual and accessories are supplied with instrument. All Vaibhav products are
lockable and can be opened by single master key provided with each instrument.
