“Observation of the Teaching-Learning Process in Flexible Learning”

Name: ELIZALDE C. BUHAY, JR. Date:May 18, 2022

Course/Major Field: BTLED-IA-4A Cooperating Teacher: Eric Sarcia

1. Describe the Distance Learning Delivery that you observed. Explain how it
differs from the traditional teaching-learning process before the Pandemic.

- The issue concerning basic education during the covid 19 pandemic is that
big changes are being undertaken in terms of imparting learning
instructions to kids. There are many experiences in life that I would
consider life changing. One, it is facing a new normal in which we must
prepare for or adjust the new learning modalities. There is need to
investigate various teaching methods that allows students to continue
pursuing their objective, goals and studies. In coping the situation, parents,
children and teacher must make a lot of adjustments.

2. Express the impact of the Distance Learning Delivery that you observed on
your personal teaching philosophy.

- The impact of distance learning delivery to the learners is that the flexible
learning approaches are frequently created by combining a variety of
teaching and learning ideas, process and methods to give students with
opportunity to learn in variety of ways. This variety of ways may occur in
through the use of internet-based tool such as virtual learning environment
and face to face classroom tutorials and lectures.

3. Based on your interview, what preparations shall a newly-hired teacher need

to be efficient in the new normal?

- For me, this new normal setting approach give as a positive and negative
result. It’s a positive in a way that I will be able to explore new things
through surfing on the net, allow me to find essential information to
understand easily the lessons, allow me to practice or pass my outputs in
all social media platforms.

“PLANNING AND IMPLEMENTING OF LEARNING PROGRAM”

Name: ELIZALDE C. BUHAY, JR. Date:May 19, 2022

Course/Major Field: BTLED-IA-4A Cooperating Teacher: Eric Sarcia

1. Do your lesson plans contain all essential elements? What are these
elements? What do you do to consider the learners’ needs and capacity,
available resources, and your teaching skills?

- The basic requirements for a teacher before starting the lesson to the
class is that he/she must prepare or provide a lesson plan. Lesson plan is
very important in dealing the topic because it will serve a guide for a
teacher to facilitate the class in an effective way since lesson plan is a tool
for the learners to learn. By providing a lesson plan, the teachers itself will
be able to know the sequence or flow of the topic and it will help the
students to achieve the goal or objectives of the lesson.

2. How do you ensure that your learning activities are relevant to the topic?
What factors do you consider?

- In facilitating the activities, the teacher will make sure that the activities
they prepared must relevant to the topic. Each activity can be suitable or fit
in different multiple intelligence of the learners in which they will able to
show what they can do.

3. To what extent do you participate in and/or cooperate with your cooperating

teacher in the planning and implementing of the classroom activities that
contribute to the development of your learners? Provide two examples.

- Planning and implementation of learning programs for students is nor

easy, just like what I’ve experienced. The two examples that are suitable
for the implementation of classroom management is being creative and
flexible enough in finding ways to present the lesson well and be mindful of
accurate activities that would make my students learn.

Course/Major Field: BTLED-IA-4A Cooperating Teacher: Eric Sarcia

1. How often do you make use of available instructional materials in teaching?

What evidence would show that these materials contribute to the attainment
of your lessons’ objectives?

- Instructional materials are one of the things that teachers should provide
during the discussions since it promotes content learning, enables
students to apply concepts and provide an opportunity for assessment. In
new normal setting of teaching and learning process, we should consider
the utilization of technologies to continue the learning of the students.

2. Are your instructional materials interesting enough to arouse and sustain the
interest of the learners? What evidence would show that you have been
successful in ensuring their effectiveness?

- To measure the learning of the students we need evidence that will show
that our materials contribute to the lesson objectives. This evidence is the
assessment tool which will prove that the students have met the desired
outcomes of the lesson.

1. What measures have you taken to assure yourself that your test items were
clear and simple?

- Assessment is one of the tools that is very useful in evaluating the student
achievement in every lesson. This assessment will measure what the
students have learned during the course throughout the teaching.
Assessment via test exam is a way in which educators gain insight into
student learning. It will also address student learning because exam is way
into student learning gaps to uphold the level of understanding and
competency of the learners.

2. How did you provide testing accommodations for disadvantaged learners?

advanced learners?

- As a teacher, you are responsible to make sure that the test is reliable,
valid and free of bias in order for the student to develop their abilities.
Aside from that, the instruction is clearly understood and it has only one
clearly correct answer.

3. Do your test items provide for a wide range of differences in ability? Describe
how this has been catered for.

- In my test items, it provides a wide range of differences in ability by

providing not only a written test but also a performance task. This way of
giving a test will develop not only their critical thinking but also their
competency to perform which they can learn by doing.
