Purpose: We are currently looking for vibrant and energetic candidate to join our team in the Administration
department.

Position: Environmental, Health and Safety Officer

Report to: Administration
Position/Task Grade: 7

Key Job Tasks and Responsibilities

• To create a health and safety-oriented culture by conducting occupational health and safety
vulnerability assessment that enhance compliance to the government and organization rules
and regulations
• Ensure all accidents/incidences are investigated and advise management on immediate action
needed to resolving such incidents.
• Develop and implement plans/campaigns to raise environmental awareness of staff and
contractors to enhance compliance to governance regulations
• Coordinate all environmental health and safety compliance audits
• Regularly conducting premise safety inductions, inspect premises and ensure that EHS toolbox
meetings and health briefs are conducted regularly
• Facilitate immediate first aid activities and fire safety trainings to all staff
• Supervise the safety committee team and work as part of the management team to share ideas on
how to improve operations and processes efficiency while maintaining appropriate health and
safety practices
• Enforce compliance to OHS regulation and ensure PPEs are used appropriately at all operational
within the company premises
• Participate in housekeeping activities during plant maintenance activities to ensure a clean
work environment
• Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual performance reports for EHS process
• Provide inputs for budget estimates, negotiate & advise management on EHS budgets to be
maintained as well as reducing operational costs
• And any other duty assigned to by the line supervisor

QUALIFICATION AND COMPETENCIES

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Health Science Management and or a
related engineering discipline. With NEBOSH certified and extensive knowledge of ISO 14001 & ISO45001
management system implementation is preferred.

Minimum Years of Experience: At least 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role in a busy manufacturing
environment.

Competencies: Good undertaking of health and safety audits, conducting inspections or reviews. Excellent
communication skills, good knowledge on Environmental laws and First aid management practices, and Results
drive with good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
