Format of Term Report

 
i. Introduction
1. Title Page: Name of the group members, Reg No#, Name of the Company along
with logo, Date of submission, Instructor's Name, Course Name, University Name,
and IU logo.
2. To the people who supported and guided you in completing the report. Details, the
business card of the HR Manager and a picture of the group visit to the
company.
3. Executive Summary: Short summary of the whole report
4. Table of Contents: List all the contents of the report with their page numbers
5. List of Tables: List all the tables used in the report with their page numbers.

ii. Company’s SWOT Analysis:


1. What are your company’s strengths that make it stand out from its competitors?
2. What are the weaknesses? How do you plan to overcome these weaknesses?
3. What opportunities do you see in the industry? How do you adopt new opportunities
in the market?
4. What are the potential market threats?

iii. Planning:
1. What are the fundamental principles for your organization’s planning process?
2. How do you ensure effectiveness while planning for any business move?

iv. Organization Structure


1. Define the hierarchy from top to bottom in the form of a structure.
2. No. of employees and departments
3. How the developed structure has been aligned with the external environment? Is it
really responsive to the changing needs of the external market? Justify your answer
according to the current and real situation.
4. Which of the five forms of departmentalization has currently they have implemented
in the company

v. Diversity:
1. Diversity leads to new innovative ideas. Does your workforce consist of individuals
from different cultural backgrounds? What steps are being taken by your
organization to hire more females and specially-abled individuals? 
2. Does your company have flexible working hours or work from home policy?

vi. Culture:
1. Create a list of questions, that you could ask an employee in order to understand the
culture of the company. 
2. What steps are being taken by the company for increasing employee engagement and
job satisfaction levels of employees? 
3. How can you motivate low-income workers? Consider how you might motivate
professionals. How they keep their employees motivated. What have they found that
works the best? 
4. Does your company have any employee recognition program? Are they effective.
5. What are the values of the company and what steps are being taken to inculcate
those values in employees? 

vii. Leading
1. Do you follow a particular style of leadership? What does it take to be a good leader?
What attitude should a leader carry to run an effective organization? 
2. Does your department provide growth and promotional opportunities to your
employees?
3. Where do you see management practices in the next 5 years? Have you anticipated
targets/change of practices accordingly?

viii. Controlling
 
1. What control measures does the Company use to monitor the performance of
employees and the quality of products and services?
2. Briefly discuss the HR policies: recruitment and selection process, training and
development, performance appraisal, and compensation plan
3. What personality traits do you consider when hiring individuals
