OBJECT PRONOUNS

Object pronouns are used instead of nouns, usually because we already know
what the object is. It makes the sentence easier to read and understand and
avoids repetition. We normally use object pronouns after a verb or a
preposition, they receive the action of the verb.

I like rock music.

Camila likes Machu Picchu and Caral.


Camila likes them.

I usually visit my friend Susan.


I usually visit her.
My students do not listen to me.

Mary does not listen to her father.


Mary does not listen to him.

This laptop is for you.

Gustave plays football with his friends.


Gustave plays football with them.

The professor does not listen to us.

My friend John lives in New York. Do you know him?. Yes, I do. I studied with
him in the school.

Angela Merkel is a German politician. Do you know her in person?. No, I do not,
but I often see her on tv.

Did you see Michael Jackson in person?. No, I did not, but I saw him on tv.

Can you show me your pics?. Of course.

Mary likes Bandurria. Do you like it?. Yes, I do. It is amazing.
