The teacher will start the lesson by showing the students real-world examples of
orthographic drawings used in different industries such as architecture,
engineering, and construction.
MOTIVATION The teacher will discuss how important it is to create accurate and detailed
orthographic drawings for planning, designing, and construction purposes.
The teacher will also explain how orthographic drawing is a fundamental skill in
technical drafting that requires precision, attention to detail, and patience.

a. Activity (Direct Instruction)

1. Definition and Importance of Orthographic Drawing (10 mins)
• Introduce the definition of orthographic drawing and its importance in
technical drafting.
• Explain how orthographic drawing is used in different industries and how
it helps in planning and designing.
2. Different Views Used in Orthographic Drawing (20 mins)
• Explain the three main views used in orthographic drawing: front, top,
and right-side views.
A. ACTIVITY • Show examples of each view and explain how they are used in creating
a complete and accurate orthographic drawing.
3. Creating a Basic Orthographic Drawing (60 mins)
• Provide step-by-step instructions on how to create a basic orthographic
drawing using technical drawing tools and materials.
• Demonstrate how to use the tools and materials to create each view of
the drawing.
• Allow students to practice creating their own orthographic drawing using
the provided materials.

1. Reflection (10 mins)

• Ask the students to reflect on the activity and discuss what they learned
about orthographic drawing.
• Encourage them to share what they found challenging or easy, and
what strategies they used to complete the activity successfully.
2. Concept Mapping (20 mins)
• Ask the students to create a concept map of the different views used in
orthographic drawing.
• Encourage them to use visuals and symbols to represent each view and
to link them together in a clear and logical way.

In the analysis section of the lesson plan, students are given the
opportunity to reflect on the activity they just completed and to discuss
what they have learned about orthographic drawing. By reflecting on
the activity, students can identify what worked well and what challenges
they faced during the task. This will help them to better understand their
own learning process and identify strategies that work best for them.
B. ANALYSIS
Additionally, concept mapping is used as a way to deepen the students'
understanding of the subject matter. Creating a concept map requires
students to organize their ideas in a logical and meaningful way. By using
visuals and symbols to represent each view, students are encouraged to
think creatively and express their ideas in a non-linear way. This will help
students to connect and relate the different views used in orthographic
drawing, making it easier for them to remember and apply the
information later on.

Overall, the analysis section of the lesson plan helps students to

consolidate their learning, identify their strengths and weaknesses, and
develop their critical thinking and creativity skills.

C. ABSTRACTION

Application (30 mins)

Provide a more complex orthographic drawing and ask the students to create
their own version using the technical drawing tools and materials.
Encourage them to use the skills and knowledge they learned from the previous
activities to create an accurate and detailed orthographic drawing.

D. APPLICATION

The teacher will evaluate the quizzes and provide feedback to the students.
IV. EVALUATION

Differentiated Instruction: a. The teacher will provide differentiated instructions

and materials based on the different learning styles and needs of the learners.

Research: a. The students will research on the different technical drawing tools,
V. ASSIGNMENT materials, and instruments used in the industry. b. The students will create a report
or presentation about their findings.

Note: The teacher should also provide additional activities or materials for
students who may need extra help or challenge.
