CLOSING THE CONVERSATION

1 Hi! I Venya and I in Los Angeles now.

Hi! I am Venya and I am in Los Angeles now.
Don’t forget about the verb BE. Whenever a sentence in your own
language is missing a verb, you will most likely need the verb BE.

2 Let’s meet in 2 p.m.

Let’s meet at 2 p.m.
Different languages use different prepositions when talking about
hours but English uses AT -- at noon / at 9 a.m. / at 4 p.m.

3 My friend Jack enjoy working out.

My friend Jack enjoys working out.
Never forget about S-ending when for HE/SHE/IT you make a
Present Simple sentence.

4 Everyone know that he’s a liar.

Everyone knows that he’s a liar.
You might think that EVERYONE means a lot of people and we
should use plural forms with it but it’s actually singular. That’s
why it works just like HE/SHE/IT subjects.

5 Mick always talks so quiet.

Mick always talks so quietly.
We use adverbs (QUIETLY) to describe verbs and adjectives and

Never add a reflexive pronoun after FEEL when you describe your well
being or your feelings. Some languages might use it but English doesn’t.

7 This car is more cheaper than yours.

If you want to emphasize your comparative adjective, do not add MORE.
Use MUCH instead.

8 A true teacher is always patient. He never gets angry with his

students.
A true teacher is always patient. They never get angry with their
students.
That’s a very interesting one 🙂🙂 The English language does not have
grammatical genders, which means that a noun that means a person
cannot be changed for pronouns HE or SHE. Always use THEY in this
case.

9 If I will be busy, I won’t pick you up from school.

If I am busy, I won’t pick you up from school.
Don’t use WILL or WOULD after IF in conditional sentences.
