Qualitative research is non-random because it is restricted to an in-depth

Quantitative research is by nature, random. This is so given that quantitative is
aimed at generalizing results from a population with the use of samples; it has the objective of gathering quantitative data of a larger group of people rather than an in-depth information regarding a particular group or a person. For that, it has this theory that the higher the sample size, the more reliable will the results be; when the sample size is lowered, then the reliability of the results will be compromised.
