Staying in the Right Place confuse and maybe on our way to destruction- God comes along to rescue us!

2. To Discover More of God and Grow in Character

A. Important Reasons for Staying in the Right Place

1. God Gives Us an Opportunity to Reach Out & Find Him

3. God Wants to Fulfill Our Purpose

3) God will bring us into the right place where our skills are honed & sharpened.
4) He brings the right mentors who trains, encourages us & who believes in us.

▪We learn humility; God breaks our pride & makes it sure we become teachable!
b. We Become a Solution to Somebody
Gen. 41:39-40- 39Sinabi ng Faraon kay Jose, "Yamang itinuro sa iyo ng Diyos ang lahat
ng ito, ay walang matalino o pantas na gaya mo. 40Ikaw ang magiging pinuno sa aking bahay,
at ayon sa iyong salita ay susunod ang aking buong bayan; tanging tungkol lamang sa
pagkahari magiging mataas ako kaysa iyo." MBB
1) God has assigned us to places where we become a blessing- where God called.
2) Some places, they will not recognize you; there is a place where they accept you.
3) They may not recognize your greatness; just perform your job well unto the Lord.
Gen. 12:1-2- 1Sinabi ng PANGINOON kay Abram, "Umalis ka sa iyong lupain, sa iyong
mga kamag-anak, sa bahay ng iyong ama, at pumunta ka sa lupaing ituturo ko sa
iyo.v2Gagawin kitang isang malaking bansa, ikaw ay aking pagpapalain, gagawin kong dakila
ang iyong pangalan, at ikaw ay magiging isang pagpapala. MBB
Ex 3:9-10- And now the cry of the Israelites has reached me, and I have seen the way
the Egyptians are oppressing them. So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my
people the Israelites out of Egypt." NIV
4) When you follow God & be at the right place, God fulfills your destiny & makes
your life productive & satisfying because you become a blessing to other people.
Acts 13:36- "For when David had served God's purpose in his own generation, he fell
asleep; he was buried with his fathers and his body decayed. NIV
▪Find out your skills He entrusted, know your God’s purpose & don’t waste your life!
3. There Will Be Favor and Provisions in the Right Place
Gen 26:2-3- 2 The Lord appeared to Isaac and said, "Do not go down to Egypt; live in
the land where I tell you to live. 3 Stay in this land for a while, and I will be with you
and will bless you. For to you and your descendants I will give all these lands and will
confirm the oath I swore to your father Abraham. NIV
a. There will be provisions where God leads us, no lack but we must trust God.
b. At times, we may be starting a humble beginning, don’t despise it, wait & persist!
c. Many never receive God’s miracle because they couldn’t stay long in their place.
Matt. 25:19-20-v19"Pagkaraan ng mahabang panahon, bumalik ang panginoon ng mga
tauhang iyon at sila'y pinag-ulat. v20Lumapit ang tumanggap ng limanlibong salaping ginto
at sinabi, 'Panginoon, ito po ang limanlibong salaping ginto na iniwan ninyo sa akin. Heto
naman po ang limanlibong salaping ginto na tinubo nito.' MBB
d. Being in the wrong place will mean lack & famine, God does not flow His favor.
Luke 15:14- After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole
country, and he began to be in need. NIV
e. Scarcity may come for a moment but if you are in the right place, God provides!
1 Kings 17:3-4, 8-9- 3"Umalis ka rito at magtago ka sa batis ng Carit, sa silangan ng
Jordan. 4Maiinom mo ang tubig sa batis at may inutusan akong mga uwak na maghahatid sa
iyo ng pagkain." 8Kaya sinabi sa kanya ni Yahweh, 9"Umalis ka rito. Pumunta ka sa Sarepta,
sa lupain ng Sidon. May inutusan akong isang biyuda na magpapakain sa iyo roon."
Heb. 11:25-26- 25Inibig pa niyang makihati sa kaapihang dinaranas ng bayan ng Diyos
kaysa magtamasa ng mga panandaliang aliw ng mundong ito na dulot ng
kasalanan.v26Itinuring niyang higit na mahalaga ang pagtitiis sa hirap dahil sa Mesiyas
kaysa ang mga kayamanan ng Egipto; sapagkat nakatuon ang kanyang paningin sa mga
gantimpala sa hinaharap. MBB
f. When we follow God’s purpose for what we have been created for, God show favor!
Matthew 6:33- Ngunit higit sa lahat ay pagsikapan ninyo na kayo'y pagharian ng Diyos e at
mamuhay nang ayon sa kanyang kalooban, at ibibigay niya sa inyo ang lahat ng inyong
pangangailangan. MBB
▪Never pursue a profession, a job or a business only for the sake of money alone!
B. Knowing the Right Place Where God Calls You
1. Commit Your Plans to the Lord
Col. 1:9- Kaya't mula nang marinig namin ito, patuloy naming idinadalangin sa Diyos na
sana'y ipaunawa niya sa inyo nang lubusan ang kanyang kalooban, sa pamamagitan ng
karunungan at pang-unawang kaloob ng Espiritu. MBB
a. Most of the times, our personal ambition complicates what God wants us to be.
b. Some are afraid to bring to God their desires, God may offer something different!
c. Trust God, He knows what is best for us, He will not lead us to where we are hurt.
2. Go Where People Celebrate & Receive You
Matthew 10:11-14- 11"Saanmang bayan o nayon kayo dumating, humanap kayo ng taong
karapat-dapat pakituluyan at kayo ay tumuloy sa bahay niya habang kayo'y nasa lugar na
iyon. 12Pagpasok ninyo sa bahay, sabihin ninyo, 'Maghari nawa ang kapayapaan sa bahay na
ito!' 13Kung karapat-dapat ang mga nakatira doon, panatilihin ninyo sa kanila ang inyong
pagpapala. Ngunit kung hindi, bawiin ninyo iyon. 14At kung ayaw kayong tanggapin o
pakinggan sa isang tahanan o bayan, umalis kayo roon at ipagpag ninyo ang alikabok sa
inyong mga paa. MBB
Acts 18:6- Nang siya'y salungatin at laitin ng mga ito, ipinagpag niya ang alikabok sa
kanyang damit bilang babala sa kanila. Sinabi niya, "Kasalanan na ninyo kung kayo'y
mapahamak! Hindi ko na sagutin iyon! Mula ngayo'y sa mga Hentil na ako mangangaral."
a. Never insist yourself where you are not welcome, they don’t recognize your skills.
b. Joseph was a blessing to Egypt because they recognized his ability- not insecure!
c. Have you been insisting yourself into a relationship God has not designed?
d. You will never grow where you will have to please others- there must be acceptance.
3. Don’t Be in a Hurry, Be Patient!
Gen 26:3- Stay in this land for a while, and I will be with you and will bless you. For to
you and your descendants I will give all these lands and will confirm the oath I swore to
your father Abraham. NIV
a. God wants to test our faith and patience by asking us to wait until God moves.
b. Many wanted to move and do something without God’s go signal, they miss it!
Heb. 6:15- And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised. NIV
