Activity
1. WARM-UP:
Review number 1 & 2 ; Audio 013: Chant 1, 2
Display flashcard number 1 and number 2. Play the chant. Point to the
numbers as they are mentioned.
Think and Play! One and Two
The children move around the class to music. Stop the music and say
One or Two. If you say One, the children freeze like a statue. If you say
Two, they have to get into pairs before they freeze.

2. INTO THE LESSON:


Introduce Key language:
Move one chair to the front of the class and say "One chair". Repeat
with two and three chairs.
TPR Counting:
Have the children stand up. Say and do the following chant for the
children to joint in and copy:
Let's count. 1, 2, 3! 1, 2, 3!
Let's hop. 1, 2, 3! 1, 2, 3!
Let's clap. 1, 2, 3!
Take out three dolls put them on the three chairs and ask children "How
many dolls?"
Put the flashcard of number 1, 2, and 3 on the chairs together with the
dolls.
Let's the children repeat number 3.
Air-trace the numbers with the class.
Project: Make dot cards.
Hand out three pieces of card to each child and supply dot stickers.
Explain that they have to put one dot on one card, two dots on another
cards, and three dots on the third card. Go around the class asking "How
many dots?"
Play with Dot Cards:
Put the children in pairs. Explain that they have to share their sets.
The children put their set of cards face down in front of them and take
turns turning a card over. If they both turn over matching cards, they
shout "Snap!"
Encourage them to say the numbers as they play.
