Weekly Update – Class I

ACADEMICS:

ENGLISH:

Current Week:

English Literature: The Lost Spring : The author Anees Jung strives hard to eliminate child
labour through the the characters Saheb-Alam: A rag picker and Mukesh: Son of a bangle
maker. She propagates the education of children and enforcement of strict laws against
child labour by the government. The message is to put an end to child exploitation and let
all children enjoy their days of the spring and joy. Every effort was made to rectify their
mistakes. Focus on their writing was given. Attention was paid to make the students aware
about their mistakes and errors. Practice worksheets were given to students from
reference book. They were encouraged to solve different Smart-board activities like quiz,
multiple choice question etc. for improving their potential.

English Grammar: Notice Writing was done. Students were told about that Notice is a
formal, written, or printed announcement for a group of people. It is written in a very
precise language avoiding any extra details.  The purpose of notice is to bring to notice a
certain piece of information to a group of people. They are generally pinned in any common
area where the concerned people can read them. It is one of the common methods of
communication. Students were told about the format and examples were given for practice
assessment was done and Remedial steps were taken.

Upcoming Week: Chapter :- The Third Level will be explained. students will be able to
analyse Jack Finney's word choices and they will be able to analyses the text. Structure of
The Third Level. Students shall write the summary and theme of the poem. They shall write
reference to context and additional question answers in their note book. Smart board
classes will be continued, multiple choice question will be asked and assessment was done.
Writing practice will be done to develop students' self confidence. Emendation will be done
for improving student's writing skills.
CHEMISTRY:
Current Week: Chapter -Haloalkane and Haloarene the chemical properties of haloalkane
were initiated. 3 chemical properties Nucleophilic substitution reactions (SN1, SN2),
elimination reactions, and reactions of haloalkane with metal will be explained to students.
Students' doubts will be taken into account and solved. Smart classes will be conducted to
enhance understanding of topics.

Upcoming Week: Chapters Haloalkane and Haloarene will be continued. The electrophilic
substitution reaction will be explained to students. Doubts from students will be taken into
account.

MATHEMATICS:
Current Week: Extra questions based on derivatives, Algebra of the derivatives were
discussed . Sums based on the topics Differentiability with the help of leibnitze rule or
product rule, quotient rule were given to practice and solved with the help of the students .
Exercise based sums of topics derivativs of composite functions and chain rule explained
with smart board activity and solved examples for better understanding. Extra doubts
related to the topics were explained and solved with the class discussion. Board test was
done on above topics .

Upcoming Week: Problems based on last week coverd topics will be discussed in the class.
Exercise sums will be discussed in the class. New topics derivative of implicit functions,
derivatives of inverse trigonometric functions, derivatives of exponential functions,
derivatives of logarithmic functions, derives of functions in parametric forms and second
order derivatives will be introduced with the relevant examples. Problems based on the
above topics will be discussed with the help of class.

BIOLOGY:
Current Week: Chapter-6 Molecular basis of inheritance was explained where children
learnt about transcription, its mechanism, and difference between transcription in
eukaryotes and prokaryotes, genetic code and its salient features, translation mechanism
and tRNA structure. Important notes and terms were discussed and written in notebook.
Doubts were cleared.

Upcoming Week: Chapter-7 Human health and welfare will be introduced and explained
thoroughly where children will learn about the different diseases due to different microbial
organisms, its symptoms and preventive measures. Important notes and terms were
discussed and written in notebook. Doubts were cleared.

COMPUTER:
Current Week: Chapter- 4 Queue was completed in class and following methods were used.
1. Introduction about queue.
2. Which approach used in queue.
3. Application of queue.
4. How queue applied in real life.
5. How queue applied in computer science.
6.Operations of queue: Enqueue, Dequeue, Isfull, IsEmpty, Peek.
7.Implementation of queue using Python.
8. Introduction of dequeue.
9. Application of dequeue.
10. Operators of dequeue: Insertfront, Insertrear, deletefront, deleterear.
11. Implementation of dequeue using Python.
All these topics were covered.

Upcoming Week: Chapter- 5 Sorting will be started. Explanation will be given with help of
Computer lab and virtual lab. Doubts will be answered,

PHYSICS
Current Week: PT question paper was discussed and doubts were answered. Numerical
were solved on board and personal doubts were cleared. Chapter Magnetic force was
completed , Topics like force on a charge in magnetic field were covered and torque due to
current carrying wire were also calculated.

Upcoming Week: Chapter Magnetic field and its properties will be introduced and
explanation will be given. Note books will be checked and lab experiment will be done.
