My name is Manuel Carlos H. Cruel.

I have just finished my studies at De La Salle University

last December 2022 with a major in BS Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in
Mechatronics. I am writing to you because I wish to apply for a job at Boston Consulting Group.

Knowing that BCG is one of the world's top consulting firms, I am eager for an opportunity to
gain vital experience from such a reputable company.

I believe I can be an asset to the company because of my strong background in business and
engineering. I have always been passionate about problem solving and business strategy. I
believe that managerial decisions should be data-driven in order to maximize their impacts.

As for my soft skills, my experience as a student-athlete has allowed me to develop strong

interpersonal and time management skills, allowing me to provide quality work with whichever
team I am assigned to. With grit and discipline, I have grown accustomed to working hard in
every task given to me. Sports have also taught me to not let my emotions get the best of me, to
view corrections as constructive criticism rather than insults to my work.

With BCG, I hope to improve my existing talents as well hone new skills that will aid me in the
challenging situations I will encounter as I enter the corporate industry.
