1: so lets start our travel… well question is what is Subangan museum’s History?
2: The Subangan Museum was inaugurated on January 8, 2014. It was built and
conceptualized by the Davao Oriental provincial government under Governor Corazon
Malanyaon. Malanyaon has already planned to build a museum as early as 2010,
when a sperm whale got stranded in the town of Governor Generoso in 2010 with the
provincial executive suggesting that the remains of the cetacean be hosted in a
museum.
1: and may I ask question?
2: ofc
1: so what is subangan means?
2: East” is what Subangan means. It was from the Bisayan word, Subang, although,
Subang can also mean “sunrise” or a place where the sun rises.
1: ohh.. that’s great and what is subangan museum’s Facility??

barangay Datu Martin Marundan in Mati, Davao Oriental, It is hosted inside a two-

16.15 m (53.0 ft) sperm whale, named Davor, serves as the centerpiece of the prior
to the museum's opening.
2: Subangan. The skeleton, sourced from a whale that beached in Governor
Generoso, is reportedly the largest in the Philippines. The culture of the Mandaya
and Kalagan ethnic groups are also showcased. The museum also has a memorial
dedicated to the victims of Typhoon Bopha (Pablo) which struck Mindanao in 2012,
two years
1: woahhh so lets summarize it lets start with its main attraction
2: Its main attraction is the 53-feet long and weighing 20 metric tons (live weight)
sperm whale skeleton called Davor. Davor, obviously named after the Province of
Davao Oriental, is placed at the center of the museum that will surely greet your
entry.
1: next is the effects of the typhhon Pablo..
2: so On December 4, 2012, Bopha, a Category 5 typhoon nicknamed “Pablo,”
struck the Philippines. Rushing flood waters destroyed entire villages and killed
over one thousand people, in what was the strongest typhoon ever to strike the
Southeast Asian islands.

1: did they rise again?

2: OFC it because they do it together or I mean they helped one another and
because their receive a lot of donations from other people.
1:ohh it so sad but lets move on next how about the mandaya tribe culture?
2: well Mandaya is an Austronesian language of Mindanao in the Philippines. It
may be intelligible with Mansaka and The Mandaya/Mansaka are famous for
their distinctive costumes and ornamentation, which involves tie-dyed textiles and
embroidery using a sophisticated system of symbols with named motifs.
Beadwork and silver craft are also well-developed. And The Mandayas believe
on God and has a deep respect to nature especially the land. The land is
sacred and holy. Man will die but the land remains. In principle, the Mandaya
believes that land is not to be owned because man is only a steward. And the
meaning of mandaya is. : a people inhabiting southern Mindanao,
Philippines. :

And before we end our presentation lets watch first the video about the
