The transaction CL24N allows users to assign a class to multiple objects.

The class that the objects should be assigned to must be selected first and also the class type.
In this example the class CLASS_1 will be used with class type 300.

As shown on the screenshot above, the material MAT_1 is already assigned to the class
CLASS_1.
 (Optional) For comparison, the screenshot below shows the present state of the
classification of the material MAT_1 in the transaction MM02.

(Back to the transaction CL24N again.) To assign a new material to the class, the button "Insert
Row" must be clicked.
A popup will appear and the user may select which object type should be assigned to the class.

When executed, the rows will now allow the user to add new materials that should be assigned
to the class.
The material MAT_2 will be added in this example, which has no classes assigned in the
classification view in the transaction MM02.
Note: the creation of a new material is not possible by adding a new Material name in the rows
of CL24N .

 (Optional) Before adding the Material to the class CLASS_1, we can verify that no other
class is currently assigned to the material MAT_2
in the transaction MM02.

(Back to the transaction CL24N again.) Now the material MAT_2 can be added to the
assignments.

When setting any values for the characteristics of the classes, it is important to select the class
that should be edited, as only the characteristic value assignments
of one class can be edited in the "Values for Class" Fields. To change classes, the user may
either select the class directly in assignments or
navigate with the up and down arrow buttons.
Any values saved here will be used as if they were set directly in MM02 in the classification
view.

 (Optional) In the example below, the value 2 will be saved for the characteristic CHAR_1
for the material MAT_2 in
the transaction CL24N . Then, the result will be compared with the values set in the
classification view of the material MAT_2
in the transaction MM02.

After saving the changes made in CL24N, the classification view of the material MAT_2 in
MM02 will now contain the value 2 assigned
to the characteristic CHAR_1 and will serve as a value restriction fo the material MAT_1 with
class type 300.
