Some say that school competitions are an acceptable way of showing one's abilities.

Others claim it's what you accomplish on a daily basis during your education.

Attending school competitions and showing your academic skills daily are both valid ways of proving
one’s abilities. However, everybody has a unique way of demonstrating their potential; some prefer
one way over another. But is showing one’s abilities while being compared to others better than
consistent hard work?

On the one hand, school competitions are a great way of showing one’s academic skills – since they
provide an opportunity for the students to explore their academic level compared to others their age.
Taking part in competitions is a great way to develop a healthy competitive spirit without the stress of
grades because participation is not mandatory. Moreover, achieving high results in a competition can
bring a sense of accomplishment and even benefit one’s future.

On the other hand, daily accomplishments are also a valid way of showing one’s abilities. To start
with, consistent work minimizes the stress of last-minute learning and going to school unprepared.
Additionally, it allows one to improve at their own pace and expand their knowledge more
thoroughly. Daily achievements require consistent work, which can prevent a lack of motivation and
lead to the development of time-management skills and discipline, also benefiting one’s future.

In conclusion: both ways of showing one’s abilities are valid and have their benefits. In my opinion,
things one accomplishes on a daily basis encourage their personal growth and development, leaving a
greater impact on their future, while attending school competitions is just a fun way of testing one’s
academic skills.
