A 138-7575 Link Bracket 2
1. Lower all implements to the ground.
2. Release the pressure in the hydraulic system. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly,
"Hydraulic System Pressure - Release".
3. Drain the hydraulic oil into a suitable container for storage or disposal. Refer to Operation
and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil - Change".

4. Remove bolts (3) and plate (2). Repeat for the other side. Remove floor mat (1).
5. Remove bolts (4) and floorplate (5).
6. Remove louver (6).
7. Remove bolt (7).
8. Remove bolt (9) and duct (8).
9. Repeat Steps 6 through 8 for the other side.
10. Remove bolts (10) from each side and remove floorplate (11).
11. Remove bolts (12) from each side of bar (13) and remove bar (13).
12. Disconnect seven harness assemblies (14).
13. Disconnect four hose assemblies (15). Disconnect eight hose assemblies (16). Remove clip
(17).
14. Remove bolts (18) and place block assembly (19) to the side.
15. Disconnect hose assembly (20) from each side of the bank valve for the backhoe.
16. Disconnect hose assembly (21). Remove cable strap (22).
17. Disconnect hose assemblies (23), (24), and (25). Remove cable strap (26).
18. Remove cable straps (27). Disconnect seventeen hose assemblies (28).
19. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to bank valve (30) for the backhoe. The
weight of bank valve (30) for the backhoe is approximately 80 kg (175 lb). Remove bolts
(29) and remove bank valve (30) for the backhoe.

Disassembly Procedure
Start By:
A. Remove the bank valve (backhoe). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Bank Valve
(Backhoe) - Remove".
NOTICE
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during

performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair
of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers

before opening any compartment or disassembling any component
containing fluids.
Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Dealer Service

Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain
fluids on Caterpillar products.
Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
1. The valves within the bank valve are positioned in the following manner: Inlet manifold
(1) , right hand stabilizer valve (2) , boom valve (3) , right hand stick valve (4) , swing valve
(5) , bucket valve (6) , extendable stick valve (7) , left hand stabilizer valve (8) , and outlet
manifold (9) .
2. Remove nuts (11) from bank valve (10) . Remove inlet manifold (1) .
3. Disassemble inlet manifold (1) .
4. Remove plugs (12) and (14) . Remove O-ring seal (13) and (15) .
5. Remove the plug and use an allen wrench to remove screen (15a) from inlet manifold (1) .
6. Remove plug (16) . Remove O-ring seal (17) . Remove nut (18) . Remove coil (19) .
7. Remove spool (20) . Remove cartridge (21) .
8. Remove backup ring (22) , O-ring seal (23) and O-ring (24) from cartridge (21) .
9. Remove right hand stabilizer valve (2) .
10. Remove O-ring seals (25) from right hand stabilizer valve (2) .

released spring force.
Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.
Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to

release the spring force.
11. Remove bolts (26) and cover (27) .
12. Remove spool (28) , retainer (29) , spring (30) , and O-ring seal (31) .


13. Remove bolts (33) and cover (32) . Remove check valve (34) .
14. Remove O-ring seal (35) , spring (35) , and retainer (37) . Remove O-ring seals (38) .
15. Remove boom valve (3) .
16. Remove O-ring seals (41) . Remove check valve (39) . Remove O-ring seal (40) .


17. Remove bolts (42) . Remove cover (43) .

20. Remove O-ring seal (50) , spring (51) , and retainer (52) .
21. Remove plug (53) . Remove fittings (54) .
22. Remove O-ring seal (55) and orifice valve (56) .
23. Remove plug (57) and relief valve (58) .
24. Remove O-ring seals (59) .
25. Remove right hand stick valve (4) .
26. Repeat Steps 16 through Step 24 for the disassembly of right hand stick valve (4) .
27. Remove swing valve (5) .
28. Repeat Steps 16 through Step 24 for the disassembly of swing valve (5) .
29. Remove bucket valve (6) .
30. Repeat Steps 16 through Step 24 for the disassembly of bucket valve (6) .

Bank Valve (Backhoe) - Remove

1. Lower all implements to the ground.
