With due respect, we are submitting the group project as per the requirement. We
significantly used our theoretical knowledge to combine with the practical world in order to
relate our unique service idea to our existing practical world. Here, we worked on a new
business idea using technology. We have tried to input our best efforts and worked sincerely
to prepare this report as precisely as possible. Through working on the project, we found
greater opportunities to increase our knowledge and skills. We can surely leverage this

Executive Summary

We the team members have come to the point of operating a start-up business named
“LAUNDRY লাগবে?” after observing some gap in the market for any home services for
laundry. In this era people wants their life to be as easy as possible and we are trying to help a
little more with the laundry pick-up and delivery service. We will pick up their clothes for
laundry delivery it to their required shop and after that deliver at their doorstep. The delivery
charge and commission from the associated laundry is the profit generating tool. We have
mentioned all the details about how the business will operate in this paper.
Business Plan

In today’s world, we are always expected to be dressed tidy because, our appearance gives
our first impression. For that people need to do their laundry regularly, but for working
people it is a hassle due to their hectic schedule.

This is where our business idea came from as we saw a potential market, that is why we are
bringing a service that would let people reduce their laundry hassle as we will provide an
app-based service where we will pick up their clothes and deliver at their doorstep according
to their favourable time after required laundry services.

Method of Generating New Idea


While group discussion we came across a problem of our fellow team mate that is both of her
parents are job holders and she being a university student are continuously facing hassle with
sending their clothes for washing, dry cleaning or ironing to the laundry by themselves due to
lack of time. From there we came up with an idea as to why not try finding a solution of this
problem. That’s how we came up with Laundry লাগবে?’, an easy, go-to app providing pickup
and delivery service from clients home to their preferred laundry shop

Name, Address & Nature of the Business


We have named our organization as “laundry লাগবে?”. We have decided to run our business
through an application. We will be starting the business in Sylhet city and if the business goes
well in future, we also want to expand it all over Bangladesh. We want to register our
company from Sylhet, Bangladesh. We will gain a small percentage from the laundry shops
we will be associating with, and also from the delivery charges.

Descriptions of Venture
Our major purpose of starting this business is to provide a suitable and comfortable facility
where people can easily do their laundries, we will go all the way to help our customers
maximize their time when they avail our laundry services through our application.

According to our market research, there is an opportunity in the market. People nowadays are
so busy with their hectic life schedule that small works like laundry feels like a huge deal,
Therefore, our app-based service will be a solution for them which will also save their time.
Hence, we are hoping that we will be successful in this venture.

The services our associated laundry will be providing our customers are-
• Washing.

• Ironing

• Dry cleaning services

• Folding and packaging of clothes

And we will be providing-

• Pick-up

• Home delivery services

As our business will be mainly through an application, the app we build will be easy to use
and understandable for all groups of people we are targeting. They will have all the required
options from selecting the type of laundry service they want, to the time to pick up the
clothes, to check when their clothes have been picked up from the laundry shop and many
more.

We'll also need to keep track of each customer's information so that our service is always the
finest. We can also utilize it to offer frequent customers discounts and create a strong
relationship with them. As a result, continuous research is essential in order to discover new
ways to make our consumers happier. We must establish a well reputation and effectively
supply our services. To ensure that favourable word of mouth spreads, we will need to reply
to customers as quickly as possible. After a purchase, we may ask our consumers to leave an
honest review, which will help us improve our service more.

Mission Statement
To help people, by giving them laundry service at their doorstep and saving their
valuable time.

Business Process
The client will install the app. Then he/she will login with his name, email, phone
number and address. The app will have a variety of laundry shops, from which the client will
select his suitable shop. There will be two interfaces in selecting the laundry- Standard &
Premium. Basis of the type of cloths and their budget they will select the laundry. Then
he/she will select the laundry service which they want to avail. And then they have to give
information about how many clothes he is giving for laundry. The client can give up to 15
clothes, and if he wants to give more, then additional delivery charges will be added. Then he
will confirm the order and the notification will go to the delivery man and the laundry shop
chosen. He will pick up the clothes and we will send the clothes to that preferred laundry
shop. The shop after finishing all tasks will contact with the rider through app and the rider
will collect the clothes and deliver to the client. If the client wants an urgent laundry, they can
select our quick service option which will add extra charges and they will be able to provide
the time when they want the clothes to be served. The clients will be able to see the updates
of their clothes being cleaned, dried, packed and dispatched from the application. The app
will be easy to use and uncomplicated. There will be option to pay online or cash on delivery
as well.

Marketing Mix
Product- As our product is basically our service, we are going to be driven basically
by making available safe laundry facility without letting the customer involve in any kind of
laundry hassle, and excellent customer service. We are quite aware of how satisfied
customers drive business growth especially businesses like services-based business which is
why we will always ensure that our customer service and facility are top notch.

Pricing- Our pricing model will be based on the charges of the pickup and delivery which we
will be deciding on the basis of the distance of the laundry shop form the customers’ house.
For every 1km we will charge 5 Taka. And the prices of their laundry service will vary
according to their selected laundry shop.

Place- As our business will be a start-up, we will first concentrate on establishing a large
network in Sylhet. We won’t have any physical store by ourselves as we will be working with
our own app named on our business “laundry লাগবে?”.

Promotion-

Digital Marketing- We will advertise our business on Facebook, where we will disclose all
information on client issues. To engage potential consumers, we will create innovative
advertising content. We will have promotional offers on our apps and vouchers to avail
discounts on our service.

Direct Marketing- In offline promotion we will have our posters on all the laundry shops
which will be associated in our business. We will also have billboard posters for people to
know about our business more. We will also text our loyal customers before any offers which
they can get in our service.
SWOT Analysis

Strengths:
Convenience: By this laundry app we are offering customers the convenience of having their
laundry done without leaving homes or offices.

Time-saving: Using this app saves customers time as they do not have to visit a physical
laundry facility to drop off and pick up their clothes.

Flexibility: Laundry app services can be available 24/7, providing customers with flexibility
to schedule laundry services at their convenience.

Weaknesses:

Trust: Building trust with customers may be challenging for our business, especially for new
and unknown providers.

Dependency on technology: our business is app based rely heavily on technology, and any
technical issues or malfunction can cause delays or disruptions to service delivery.

Our business face competition from traditional laundry services, dry cleaners, and other
laundry app services, requiring providers to continuously innovate and improve their
services.

Opportunities:

Expansion: by this app we can expand our services to new geographical areas or offer
additional services such as dry cleaning, or home cleaning.

Partnerships: also we can form partnerships with hotels, restaurants, and other businesses
that require laundry services, expanding our customer base.

Threats:

Economic downturns: Economic downturns can lead to reduced demand for our business as
customers may cut back on discretionary spending.
Security risks: providing Laundry with an app may be vulnerable to security risks such as data
breaches or fraud, leading to loss of customer trust and reputation damage.
Challenges and how to overcome them

Every business comes with risk factors and this business has some risks as well. But those
risks can be avoided by taking proper measures. The risks and the way to overcome them are
explained below-

 The laundry app service relies heavily on technology, and any disruption or
malfunction can lead to delays and inconvenience for customers. Ensuring robust IT
infrastructure, implementing cybersecurity measures, and providing reliable customer
support are some of the technological challenges that laundry app service providers
need to address. To avoid that we need to build a strong app which will have less
chance of malfunction and easily revivable.
 Though we know we have consumer base but at first it might be a challenge for us to
build the consumer base and trust of the consumer as it is a new concept in
Bangladesh. We will have to do proper marketing for people to understand our
service. We can also provide free delivery for a certain time to grab the customer
base.
 Many people can assume our competitors are the laundries around the house of
people. It might be partially true as in some case laundries beside house may provide
the delivery service for selective people but it is very rare. And also, our consumer
base are the people who are busy in life that they can’t take out the time to go to
laundries and bring back the laundry. So, if people understand our service that won’t
be a challenge for us.
 One of the risks can be any damage to any of the clothes can ruin the reputation of our
business. For that reasons we have kept interphases in our application that if a cloth is
very delicate, customer can choose laundries which will provide them with that can of
service.
 The laundry app service involves picking up clothes from the customer's location,
transporting them to the laundry facility, and delivering them back. Managing
logistics can be a challenging task, especially during peak hours or adverse weather
conditions. For which we will manage customer expectations by providing accurate
pickup and delivery times, setting realistic turnaround times, and keeping customers
informed of any changes or delays. This can help reduce the number of customer
inquiries and complaints and ensure that customers are satisfied with the service.
Conclusion

‘LAUNDRY লাগবে?’ is opening a new dimension in the online service sector. We feel
Bangladesh's market potential is enormous, since people are modernizing and seeking a
stress-free lifestyle in their spare time. We are going to establish a new platform for our
consumers, based on market opportunity and demand, where they will be able to acquire their
essential laundry services in no time using our application. Furthermore, we will do all
possible to deliver and generate value for our consumers by providing the highest quality
services.
Survey Summary and Graph

We've done a survey, to identify the market opportunity of this business. As our target customer we found

that the maximum was job holders and others were students. We also found out that the maximum number of

members in a household is 4-5. The survey showed us that almost 60% people does their laundry weekly, and

the laundry service they often take the most is "ironing" so there is a huge market in that sector. While asking

if they feel hassle of giving clothes to the laundry and picking up, the response was 65% people feels the Hassel

and 35% don't really see it as hassle. But 92.8% people do think it would be helpful if someone takes their

clothes does the laundry service and delivers to their door step. So, the survey helped us to made sure there is

a gap and market opportunity in this sector.
