7, tea D Foundation Introducing the Motivational Interviewing Professional Development Kit Dear Colleague Itis with pleasure that we provide you with the Motivational Interviewing Professional Development Kit, a resource for health professiona's This resource has been developed by the Heart Foundation, in conjunction with Clinical Psychologist, Dr Stan Steindi, to help support the use of the standard patient resource, My heart, my life - a manual for patients with coronary heart disease. ‘The “Ki" comprises: * Two DVDs delivered by Dr Steindt: 2 DVD#4—apresentation on the spirit and skills of Motivational Interviewing practice 2 DVD #2- patient interviaws addressing key behavioural risk factors © Ahealth practitioner reflection tool, which aims to assist embedding motivational interviewing into clinical practice. This tear-off sheet can be added to the patient file or used as @ practice retlection too! by the clinician for personal professional development ‘The presentations are designed to be used as either a half-day education of several short-in-service sessions simply by choosing the ‘play all’ or ‘scene-selection’ options.
