HARD WORK VS SMART WORK

 To reach Success, one should know how to perform a task smartly

 Hard work is also important to complete a task

 Both Smart Work and Hard Work are important to reach success in life

 Smart Work helps us to perform a task in a right way

 Hard Work helps us to perform a task in such a way that results are noticeable

HARD WORK VS SMART WORK : (SHORT ESSAY)

Working towards success needs a lot of planning before executing. Deciding on the
right way to perform a task is inevitable. Smart Workers are people who use the right
strategy to reach the end point easily. Hard workers are people who get noticed by
everyone. In reality, both Smart Work and Hard Work are important to gain popularity in
any field. Any person who has proven to be smart would have started his or her career /
performed in examinations because of Hard work in the beginning. Hard Work, in fact,
gives people more sense of curiosity to taste victory.

HARD WORK VS SMART WORK : (BRIEF ESSAY)

We would have seen people debating in many places – “Does Smart Work leads to
Success or Hard Work leads to Success?” It’s a right topic that needs an insight
because people get confused on their approach in performing tasks.

Smart Work helps a person complete a task efficiently – more work in less hours with
less resources and reduced efforts.

Hard Work, also, helps a person to complete a task successfully – but time consumption
will be more and there is no assurance if the task can be completed with less resources.
The person who does hard work has to put a lot of efforts to complete a task.

In short, with Hard Work we can complete a task successfully; but in order to gain fame
among people and get recognition Smart Work matters a lot. Smart Workers prioritize
their tasks, complete the most important ones first and the rest later. This makes their
job easy since they can act towards a solution depending on the priority. Smart Work
lets you understand the time consume even before performing the task. With a plan on
what needs to be done, Smart Workers reach the success pole soon. In a sense,
working hard in a smart way will lead to success in any task assigned to us.

So, be it school, college or job we should learn how to complete a task in less time with
less resources and at the same time reach end point without flaws. We should
continually improve our Interpersonal Skills, Communication Skills, Time Management
Skills and many more skills to apply our Smart Work and Hard Work in the right places
in the right way at the right time.
1 Minute Speech on Hard Work vs
Smart Work In English
Good morning to one and all present here. Today, I will be giving a short
speech on the topic of ‘Hard Work vs Smart Work’.

Hark work is often misconstrued to be smart work. This is not so. While
hard work does have its merits, smark work is observed to prove better
results.

Hard work refers to a more hands-on approach to things. Smart work,

whereas, puts the brain to good use. In many cases, smart work is more
beneficial and it saves time while still being productive. Again, it is also
seen to cut down costs by employing creativity, unlike hard work.

Again, it can be noted that given its methods, the focus of hard work
tends to lean towards the quantity of the work. However, smart work
involves paying equal weightage to both the quantity and the quality of
the work produced, making it that much better.

Thus, while hard work is effective, smart work is both effective and
efficient.

Thank you.

2 Minute Speech On Hard Work

Or Smart Work In English
Good morning everyone present here, today I am going to give a speech
on hard work or smart work. The real story is more complicated than
simply being smart or working smart. The fact is that in order to succeed,
you must put in both smart and hard work. Making the proper decisions
and maintaining a structured work environment are key components of
smart work. Your vision and ideas come to fruition as a result of your
labor. Working hard and being smart are not mutually exclusive. You
may learn to use your time more effectively by doing smart work.

Smart work will undoubtedly give you the luxury of not working as hard
as you otherwise would if you are satisfied with your current level of
accomplishment. Smart work alone won’t truly help you, though, if you
want to succeed to the highest level in your chosen area.

Many people believe that much effort goes unappreciated. They hold the
opinion that you remain a drudge unless you are “smart” about letting
others know that you are working hard. Hard work is said to be a form of
drudgery. They are more concerned with demonstrating to the “boss”
how hard they are working. They are concentrating in the wrong place.

To conclude, I firmly believe that hard work always attracts attention;

perhaps not immediately, but ultimately everyone will notice it. And the
benefits come naturally without your effort. Thank you.

Social Media - A Blessing or a Curse!

By Mark Hamister
Imagine it --- this baby boomer who rails against social media on most days --- now
taking a step back and thinking about SOCIAL MEDIA!

I admit it, I am old and biased naturally against social media for more reasons than
there are likely numbers. Social media and technology together have corrupted our
abilities and incentives to actually talk to one another. However, let's take a more
enlightened and balanced step back and look at social media.

My first conclusion after some exhaustive research that has taken the last several
weeks is --- social media is here to stay and younger adults and kids love it! So, like
it or not it does not appear that anyone will cause its demise. Therefore, wouldn't it
be wise to step back and think about social media, leadership and how to more
effectively employ social media? That has led me to this expert article (although I
use the word expert loosely here).

My research found many articles and real experts listing dozens of cautionary tales
about social media. I will narrow my focus a bit and focus on those social media
matters which impacts business and employment. I found a significant number of
conclusions among the experts that too many people use social media without a
filter and do not think about consequences.

Think about this quote that I found:

"We don't have a choice on whether we do social media, the question is how well we do it." By
Erik Qualman

THE GOOD OF SOCIAL MEDIA

When I was building the Company, we did not have the internet, computers or
social media. When we wanted to get the word out we worked hard to deliver upon
marketing strategies. Today all you need are thousands of followers who in turn
have thousands of followers and you can get a message out to large quantities of
people, with little cost and some time.

I love the ability to find a great hotel on the internet or a great restaurant when I
am traveling.

Social media is a great place to learn about the good side of humankind. When
people stay focused on the positive it can be enlightening. Imagine the story on
May 4, 2017 shown on ABC about a seven-year-old girl who lost her leg and with a
smile on her face battled to walk back to school. What a wonderful story of a
person's "will to live" and do good! I hope that you saw it. The story was picked up
by social media and viewed over 1.5 million times.

Social media is a great place to promote your services or products.

I would be remiss if I didn't say how wonderful it is to be able to "shop" from my

couch at home at night. Without the internet and social media, I could not gain
input on quality and services. I love to shop online vs. going to the store.

In short, I have become a huge fan of social media and internet access to
information, products and services.
Imagine how wonderful social media would be if we could become more disciplined
as people and less mean spirited by thinking about a few simple lessons and rules
about using social media. That brings me to the bad and ugly part of social media
which, if we all employed a little more judgement and kindness, would help social
media to become a more positive contributor to quality of life with less stress. After
all, when did it become wise to "rant and rave" about others while disdaining those
who do it to us?

THE BAD AND UGLY OF SOCIAL MEDIA:

UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES: Far too many people do not consider the
unintended consequences of social media. Many people seem to use social media
as a place to "let off some steam". The problem is you can't take it back and you are
telegraphing to everyone who reads your "rant" that YOU:
 Are not interested in what the other person has to say.
 Do not seem to care to discover who is right or wrong --- or in some cases where there is
no right or wrong, just different opinions --- what the right way is to come to an
understanding?
 Feel only your opinion counts --- ergo, who should be complaining about whom?
 Complain in social media when it is usually about differences in people.
 Are inflexible and a coward (since you can't seem to do the right thing and have an adult
conversation with the other person).
Do you really think that such posting will actually do anything good? If not, your
motive is what? Could it be that you need to look in the mirror because in fact you
might be mean spirited?

YOUR NEXT EMPLOYER --- WHAT WILL THEY THINK? What do you think your
next employer will think about you? (let me be clear, my attitude is if you will
complain about your past employer in social media --- when will you complain
about us?) Is this the right way to settle differences? This is serious stuff. Here is an
example of a comment recently posted on LinkedIn from a recruitment agency
about one of their top candidates they were recommending:
"I just had the leading candidate for a senior level position be taken out of consideration after
the company found questionable material on a social media page. This is a good example for all
of us that it really DOES matter what you post on social media and employers really do look at
it!!! Take a second to check yours today!" By D. Gestwick, GRS
"DO UNTO OTHERS," GOLDEN RULE: Have we all forgotten about what our
parents taught us --- do unto others what we want done to us. The rule applies to
social media as well. Instead of addressing the brutal facts of how we feel (about a
person or a company) in social media we should instead address them face to face
with the person. Would we want the person that we are not happy with writing
something negative about us in social media? Are you perfect? Have you looked in
the mirror lately?
FALSE INFORMATION: All too often people who make emotional posts on social
media do not have the facts, or at least not all the facts. They base their opinions on
biased and incomplete information. If your life depended on it --- would you make
decisions on such incomplete information?
ADDICTION TO SOCIAL MEDIA: In this modern era, more and more people are
becoming addicted to social media and sharing too much information about
themselves and in some cases posting negative things about other people. Social
media has its place, but rants will only cause harm, stress and damaged
relationships. Are you addicted?
VENTING FRUSTRATIONS AGAINST ANYONE: Friends have "dumped" friends
because of nasty rants on social media. I ask you --- who wins? I think no one.
Employers have discharged employees for negative posts. Sure, you can go on a
rant against your employer. After all, we live in the USA. But those same rights that
give you the ability to engage in these rants gives your employer the ability to say
no thank you and discharge you for nasty posts. Your employer is issuing you a
paycheck. They have a right to expect your hard work and loyalty. What person
thinks that their next employer will not react negatively when they see your posts?
Lastly on this point --- do you really want your boss thinking --- I can't have a
reasonable debate or ever show my displeasure with someone because they might
make a social media post. Now your first reaction might be --- great. However, that
means that they will let things build up until the bubble bursts. What do you think
will happen then? Did you just win a very short term battle by venting publicly while
losing the war (I mean your job)? Think first!
CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION: Your friends and your employer both expect you
to keep their confidential information --- confidential. If you don't, you will lose
friends and your job. Who wins when that happens?
SOCIAL MEDIA ON THE JOB: Most of us understand what theft is on the job. Have
you thought that unless social media relations are formally your job that engaging
in social media exchanges on the job is actually stealing time from your employer.
Is this honest, or right?
DON'T BE FOOLED BY "SHARING RULES": Most people I talked to thought that
they could control many of the negative outcomes discussed earlier in this brief
article. Don't be fooled. Most of us have hundreds if not thousands of friends. Then
some friends share what their friends post and before you know it all kinds of
people know what you thought was on a tight network. If it is on the internet --- you
should assume that it is widely public. As an employer, you would be surprised at
the number of people who draw to my attention the missteps of their peers on
social media.

IN CONCLUSION:
So, I ask this simple question as you think about these comments --- how do you
want to live and how do you want your children to live?

What is wrong in our country these days has more to do with polarized opinions of
different people than it is about how we are all different. I am thankful that we are
all different. I cherish those differences and enjoy the debates that result. Are you
contributing to polarization or finding harmony with those that you disagree with?

Social Media - Curse or Blessing

It is one of the gest gift that human being has got is Science and
technology. It is the invention of technology which brought the
world closer and together. Development, growth and speed of
progress are increasing because of the technology. This is
because of Social Sites. Social Media has changed entire world
and it also has affected our life styles.
It reduces the communication costs. Now we have instant messaging services, Video
calling and live chat services. It is a revolutionary change for our modern society. It is
also a source of earning and generating income through promoting goods and
services. However, developing social media has changed the definition of privacy. It
can also prove to be a harmful for human beings. Thus, Social networking sites can be
either curse or bless for mankind. It’s all depends on the users.

Advantage of Social Media

Social media is gradually changing the way we interact, organize,
communicate, opinion as well as shop to an online platform.  It is creating the
transparency in everything we do so. Companies can’t ignore or block social
networking sites in their environment. We need not to go anywhere to target
our audience because now a day people are more likely to participate in social
media forum than any other venue. Partners, employs and customers, alike
expect to engage with us through Social media. It is way for us to stay
connected with our customers and gather feedback. As a result, it is
necessary for companies to support social media in their atmosphere to
enable innovation, increase productivity and growth which will drive their
business. However, the power of Social Media is greater than any other man,
rule, and law or even country.

Due to instant messaging services, people get in touch with their families relatives and
friends anywhere across the world. Just we need an internet connection to do this.
Through the invention of Whatsapp, social networking service has drastic change. It
increases the communication system across the world. Earlier, people used to send
message and letters through telegrams and Post services that would take many days to
reach their destination. But now, we can deliver our messages in a few seconds.  I
would like to thank social media that we do not have to wait for such a long time to
get the message or to communicate with our loved ones.

Uses of Social Media in Business Platform

It is the most effective way for businesses to gather feedback and market research
about their products and services they promote among the people. They can use the
constructive criticism given by their consumers to enhance the quality of their
products and services to satisfy the public.

Other Advantage of Social Media

Expressing Talent

Social media networking sites such as you tube, Tik Tok, We Chat, Snap Chat etc. are
very popular among the people to create short video. All these are such awesome
platforms that enhance the person’s hidden talent.

Finding New Talent

Social Media Sites like LinkedIn and indeed are the best resources for a business
owner to find new talent or even partners for new ventures.

Low Cost Advertisement

Some social media networking sites such as You tube, Facebook, Instagram, etc. are
providing business owners with the opportunity to advertise and to reach among the
people easily for a little money.

Free Business and Product Promotion

We can promote our business, goods and services through social media without
paying any fees. Many of the social media sites like Facebook, You tube, LinkedIn,
twitter, etc. provides the free services. We have to create an account on it using
Mobile number or E-mail and to connect with the people. They follow our pages, like
and subscribe to our channel and reach to us easily.

Easy Communication System

Social Media platforms allow us fast and free resources for communicating with our
clients and potential customers and sales, promotions, special events might be
announce by easily typing the message and posting it to our page or profiles.

Disadvantage of Social Media

On the other hand it has brought some disadvantage along with benefits. One of the
disadvantage is that it is isolated the young peoples. For example, they prefer video
games to physical games which make him physically weak. They communicate with
people through the smartphones and computers. That way they lose all the contacts
with the outside world and become addicted to the electronic devices like computers

and smartphones.

Effect of Social media in our Society

Social Media is changing the behavior of our society. It can lead to a shorter attention
span and less efficient works. Youngsters tend to social media and use it for
popularity.

Social networking sites also change the definition of privacy. Earlier, people were
careful not to share any private information over the internet. But now, we share many
photos, videos and other information to become popular which lead to identify left
that poses a serious problem in the future. Hackers can hack the account and use it in
any type of crime.

Be Aware and Careful

We must be careful. We should not disclose our private information like Bank details,
about family members and exact location on the internet. Now a day Social media is
being used to scam people for personal benefit. So, use technology as a boon not a
bane.
