7. (a) Under the rules on criminal procedure, a party can avail the remedy of motion for
reconsideration. Such motion is considered part of due process in the preliminary
investigation.
(b) Under the rules on criminal procedure, a criminal information may be filed without
a preliminary investigation when a person is lawfully arrested without warrant (in
flagrante delicto) involving an offense which requires a preliminary investigation

continuado, or continuous crime as a single crime consisting of a series of acts arising
