 The practice of maternity is carried out offline at the Dr
Tjitrowardjojo hospital Purworejo. RSUD Dr Tjitrowardjojo is a type
B Hospital. The practice period for basic patient needs is carried out
starting from : December 19 2022 to January 15, 2023. We were
divided into several wards. And i got an assignment in the Delivery
room (KK) and Post partum (Gladiol).
While at the maternity state we practiced for 4 weeks, for the first
2 weeks we practiced in the delivery room (KK). In this room we got a
lot of experiences that we didn’t get in other wards. In this room all the
midwives. Our activities every day include asisting in childbirth,
monitoring TTV, measuring APGAR score,conducting ECG
examinations, observed USG,measuring DJJ,Leopold and many other
activities.Every activity we are always accompanied by the seniors in
this room.
For the next 2 weeks we practice in the post partum room
(Gladiol) here is the room after the patients gives birth. This room
consists of nurses and midwives. We collaborate with each other for
the care and health of patients in the space. Here we study the
management of post partum mothers. Starting from post partum
assestment, perineal care, vaginal care, breast care, sectio caesarea
wound care, oxytocin massage, good and correct breastfeeding
technique, how to facilitate breastfeeding, help bathing the baby,
pairing DC catheters. Every activity we are always accompanied by the
seniors in this room.
