airline AirAsia, debuted its super app
in October 2020 in Malaysia,
Thailand, Manila, Indonesia, and
Indonesia and in February of the
same year. This benefits the

On 17 June 2022, AirAsia super app launched its brand-new
feature, the Airasia pocket, which enclosed an electronic
wallet (e-wallet). Users may refill and pay for all goods or
services while earning rewards using this new app’s feature that
can be accessed with any gadget, especially mobile phones,
which is compulsory and valuable nowadays. As we may be
aware, when Covid 19 had appeared in our country and was
under lockdown and the government executing movement
restriction orders, every transaction had to be performed online
to simplify everyday living at that time. After researching the
matter and deciding that they would like to continue this
digitisation payment method in post-COVID, Air Asia produced
their e-wallet, known as Air Asia Pocket. Besides, through
this feature, users can earn AirAsia points upon activation and
enjoy an extra 10 % off all AirAsia flight bookings and 10%
AirAsia points with every AirAsia food order on weekends. We

collaboration with Google Cloud. By
leveraging Google Cloud’s
Infrastructure, super app users can
access its services anytime and
anywhere. According to Airasia super
app, the two parties collaborate on
their core competencies to develop
technology talent, co-create software
tools for open innovation, deliver data-
driven intelligence on behalf of MSMEs
on the platform, and ensure
accessibility for a wide range of users in
urban and rural areas.
