I agree with statement. At the college, we learnt about how we deal with problems with ideal
solution based on text book theories. There is many cases in the field, the solution of which is quite
different with theories that we learnt before. So, we should make an adjustment and combine it
with theories that we had. But how we could make an adjustment if we didn’t know about the
theories?.

At the other cases, we don’t know how to implement the theories we got at the real case. For
example, we knew that inflation rate is depended on demand and supply of the goods. But when
calculating the inflation rate in the real case, people get confused. So what is the the use of theory, if
people couldnt connect it with real data?.

We usually need to make a decision in our job. We sometimes see that people made a decision
based on their experience or their feeling without make calculation based on data and theory. The
weakness of this method is the decision is not always accurate. If they did research before, the
decision outcome should be better. Why certain people would rather use their experience or feeling
than do the research first?

Research answered all of three questions above. First, when did the research, you should learn the
theories first. You should read a lot from various sources. It will enrich your knowledge in order to do
research. Doing research and publishing it make you learn a lot. Second, when did research, you
tend to collect data from the real world so you could connect the theory and the real cases. It was
trained you think based on data. And it answered problem number 3. When you made a decision to
certain case, it will be based on scientific answer and the solution will generate better impact.
