One of the last films I’ve watched was Blue Story, a movie which underlines
the dangers of the so called „street life” in the United Kingdom, from gamg
violence, to drug deals even to threats to their own family this movie has it all.
The movie begins with some naive teenagers coming back from school talking
and having fun, going about their day until they meet another group, from
another zone and „gang”. They start getting violent and one of the protagonist
has a brother who is gang-related, he gets called and from here things errupt.
The movie shows how easily it is to get trapped in this life, the ilussion of the
money you make and that „street life” reputation among other „gangsters” is
what lures most teens and kids here. But sometimes it’s not only about this,
they are having a crappy life and want a change, wanting to provide to their
family, who of course are in the same situation as them. And most of the time
they are willing to take that risk to get a better life, and we can’t really judge
them.
Fast-paced, full with action and some plots here and there, this movie has
them all, and if you still feel that you want more there are two different series
with some of the same cast and directed by the same studio who go by „Top
Boy” and „Top Boy: Summerhouse”.
So if you are the mind of person into this kind of stuff , you should definetly
give this a go!
