A: hello friends, in this video we will talk about the very successful and famous
Peruvian CHABUCA GRANDA, however; I guess we all know who she is, is
that right?
B: that's right my friend, we know that our dear Peruvian representative has a very
interesting story.
C: I agree, my friends, besides she has been recognized as a cultural heritage in our
country.
A: of course she has, well tell us more about her life, my friend Milagros; where was
she born and in what year?
B: Chabuca Granda was born in Las Cotabambas Aurarias on September 3, 1920.
Gabriel, tell me when did she start her career as a composer?
C: Her career as a composer began in 1948 with the waltz "Lima de Veras", she was
also one of the most emblematic voices of Peruvian Creole music.
A: Oh how interesting, I saw a video about her and it says that the great symbolic
value of her musical legacy was declared as Cultural Patrimony in Peru. On the
other hand, she participated in television programs in Peru and abroad and in
movies.
B: Yes, my friend Jodie, she was also a jury member in important international
festivals such as Viña del Mar.
C: How incredible, friends, do you know since when she discovered her vocation?
A: Yes, at the age of 12 she discovered her vocation for singing and during her
youth she joined the Amateur Artists Association. Milagros, do you know any

B: Something I should point out is that her legacy goes beyond compositions that
have gone around the world such as "La flor de la canela".
C: How impressive, Chabuca Granda was a very persevenrate woman and very
recognized by the nation, for her great achievements during her life.
A: Exactly, besides having been a successful composer who highlighted her songs
dedicated to the homeland of Peru if we have to recognize it.
