This Ministry's letter dated 03-11-2001 is still enforced wherein a policy decision has been conveyed that original (General) Power of Attorney duly registered be accepted for the purpose of hiring of residential accommodation for the entitled Federal Government servants if the attorney holder is one of the owners of the house or legal heirs. ii. A special Power of Attorney, attested by notary public, may be accepted for release of the amount in favor of the attorney holder in hiring cases.
