GENERAL ORIENTATION

1. INTRODUCTORY
To start with, may I request everyone to stand for the Invocation, and please remain standing as we sing
the Philippine National Anthem, Abuyog Hymn and ACC hymn.
-YOU MAY NOW TAKE YOUR SIT.

Highly respect to our Executive Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Hon. Mayor Octavio J. Traya Jr.,
Likewise, to equally dedicated Vice Mayor, Hon. Lemuel Gin K. Traya .
To our active College President, Ma’am Asuncion M. Villote,
to our Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Edita D. Vale,
to our Vice President for Administration and Finance, Mrs. Shiela V. Posas
Deans of the Colleges,
from THE College of Arts, Sciences and Education, Dr Edita D Vale,
from the College of Criminal Justice and Education, Dr. Eduardo Raquel Sr.,

A Delightful Morning and Welcome to this General Orientation for this Academic Year 2022-2023.

I am so delighted to see you here this morning and with that, Pakibati naman po ng mga tao sa paligid
natin ng isang Good morning or Maayong Buntag, Maupay na Aga with a smile in our face to spread the
good vibes and positivity.
---diba nakakaganda ng ating ngiti at nakakahawa… kaya smile tayo diyan.

By the way, this is to remind everyone, to please wear your facemask all the time, maintain the physical
distancing, at the same, please turn your cellphone into a silent mode, and kindly avoid talking with your
seatmates, as we go along with our general orientation to elude interruptions.
If you want to take notes the information, or questions that you’ve want to ask later, you may do so. Just
lend us your undivided attention.
2. WELCOME MESSAGE
At this point, to welcome us in this General Orientation for this Academic Year, 2022-2023, may I call in,
our ever steadfast Vice President for Academic Affairs as well as the College Dean for Education, Arts
and Sciences we have Dr. Edita D. Vale for her Welcome Message.
--- Thank you for that warm welcome mam Vale.

Are you all excited to start your journey here at ACC? Students are you excited?
(I hope you will discover yourself learning, over the next four years of your staying here at Abuyog
Community College., as you have entered a lively, challenging, diverse, and warm community.)

3. INTRODUCTION OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS, FACULTY AND

STAFF
At this point, this is an important part, for all of you that in case, may ada kamu problema regarding
saiyo subjects, grades, OR any academic requirements, you should know whom you are to approach, and
ask for help, and with that, these are the people that can probably answer your queries and perhaps can
help you with your problems, AND CAN HELP YOU BUILD YOUR DREAMS.
May I call in,____________________to introduce the members of the teaching force and staffs of the
College.

I hope you’ve got familiarized with them, (nakafamiliarized ba kamu?)
so in case magkasugat mo ni ma’am or sir, kindly pay respect by saying goodmorning, or good
afternoon,
as what I’ve said earlier that they would be your partner, councilor, and adviser. They will be
your guide and allies in your learning, exploration and success.

4. SCHOOL POLICIES
At this juncture, for us to be aware with the school policies of Abuyog Community College, let us lend
our ears to our College President – Designate; Ma’am Asuncion M. Villote… Let’s give him a round of
applause.
---Thank you ma’am for that informative talk. I do hope that our students will instill in their mind
the Do’s and Don’ts as an ACCians.

5. ADMISSION & RETENTION POLICIES

Next, another important school policies concerning to Admission and Retention Policy will be talked by
Dr. Eduardo Raquel Sr.,The College dean of Criminal Justice .

You heard it loud and clear dear students. Ilan yung GWA or general weighted average niyo para
manatitili kayo as BS Criminology student?
Kaya ba naton? Kaya ton…

Next, for an institution to remain harmonious, precise expectations for behavior and standards must be
established, both inside and outside the school. In other words, we are to discuss the Do’s and Don’ts of
you dear students as ACCians.
At this point, to discuss the Student Discipline, may I call in Sir Bimbo Solayao from the College of
Criminal Justice and Education and the School Prefect of Discipline Designate.
(Thank you sir, you heard it clear dear students, sana ay palagi nating alalahanin kung anu yung
dapat at hindi dapat gawin ng isang studyante ng Abuyog Community College)
Always remember, na ang kasiraan niyo o ang hindi kagandahan sa inyo bilang mag aaral ay
palaging magbobounce back sa school kung saan kayo nag aaral. Let’s make our Alma Matter proud.

7. BLENDED LEARNING MODALITY

The covid 19 pandemic has highlighted the challenges that present obstacles to equitable learning and
development in higher education in various parts of the world. With this, to ensure the quality in
education here in ACC we adopt the Blended Learning Modality of teaching and Learning. At this
point,to give us further knowledge of what is Blended Learning Modality, may call in, Ma’am Shiela V.
Posas, the Vice President for Administration and Finance.
 A Big hand please.

Before we proceed to the next focus of this orientation, do you have questions that you’ve want to ask?
Clarification regarding to our school & retention policies, learning modality and student discipline?

Next, For you to be informed regarding to the different student services, school library, student portal,
health services and student organization of abuyog community college.
Let us start and be enlightened with mam Neri Joy Elic, our ACC School Librarian, to discuss about
School library student service.
 ---Thank you mam Neri.
(Students if you want to use our school library and do some research with your assignments or
even if you want to borrow books, you may visit the library and approach mam neri joy elic. She is very
approachable)

Next to discuss the student portal of Abuyog Community College, We have our MIS Coordinator Sir
Mark S. Simborio.
--Thank you sir Mark.
--So students if you want to know or monitor your grades earned from the different
subjects you have enrolled for every semesters you can use the students portal.

At this point. Another student services will be discussed to us by mam marian joy brillo. A registered
nurse and the school nurse of ACC. Let us lend our ears, as she discuss the health services for students
 Thank you mam brillo, for that helpful informative and enlightening talk about the
health services for our dear ACCians.

To complete the discussion of those student services here in ACC, Ma’am Aryanne Querquez, the adviser
of Supreme student council will discuss to us about the student organization here in Abuyog Community
college.

That’s concludes our discussion to the different schools services here in ACC. Students, I know you have
questions or queries left in your head, so at this juncture those questions will be answered right away. If
you want to ask you may raise your hand.
