Company History & Background

2010 - July: Tyco Electronics announced that it had entered into an agreement to acquire ADC
Telecommunications Inc, the ultimate parent entity for approximately $1.25 billion.

2009 - The New Zealand operations of ADC became a branch of ADC Australia. Subsequently, ADC
Communications (NZ) Limited was put into voluntary liquidation.

2006 - ADC Australia secured a $200,000 contract to provide a structured cabling solution for the new
Sydney HQ of Challenger Financial Services.

2005 - ADC Australia won a three year $15 million contract to assist in the supply of Telstra's Customer
Access and Inter Exchange Network.

1935 - ADC was founded by Ralph Allison in Minneapolis in the US.
