INTRODUCTION

One of the most challenging parts of a manager’s job is maintaining

productivity among team members. As one might guess, low productivity
negatively impacts companies in a number of ways including decreased
revenue, employee engagement, and overall work quality. The good news,
however, is that technology can be used to simplify tasks and help
employees work more efficiently.
Companies worldwide are relying on emerging technologies to help
improve their competitive advantage and drive strategy and growth. Today,
we cannot even consider doing business without the Internet, video
conferencing, project management apps and more

Here are just a few reasons why technology is key for a manager to
achieving their goals:
1. Communication
Technology is now the most important communication tool for
organizations. Technology has transformed how organizations conduct
public relations and marketing, including how they interact with the
media and stakeholders.
Technology enables a faster, wider and more efficient means of
communication. This will include interactions within your team or with
your clients, potential customers, investors or the general public.
Video conferencing technologies, like Skype and Zoom, make meetings
from across geographical borders convenient. As for within your
organization, certain apps (like Slack or Asana) can help you simplify
communication within your team. You can use this to track projects,
details on tasks, deadlines, etc., regardless of whether they work from
under the same roof, or remotely. Email, newsletters, social media, and
other platforms are all equally essential resources for communication.
2- Human resources
Even the manager of human resources use technology to accomplish
their tasks rapidly For example, many job roles are now advertised on
the internet through business websites and recruitment websites. Some
recruitment methods, such as online testing and video interviews are
also completed using technology. Businesse can use technology to pass
on any communication to applicants such as email or phone calls.
Technology is changing how companies hire, making the process more
efficient and effective. Often, many companies take months to find the
perfect candidate. In addition to being more time-consuming, the
search for talent becomes more costly too.
Fortunately, technology offers solutions to cut down on hiring time by
significantly reducing the length of the recruiting process from weeks
or even months all the way down to days and hours. In fact, 94% of
recruiters and hiring professionals say that using a recruitment
software has positively impacted their hiring process.
3- Decision Making
A manager has to make decisions, whether simple or complex. And every
decision he makes can affect the success of the company in the long term. As an
executive, he has to ensure continued operation and growth of the business, and
this can be significantly more straightforward by using technology.
With technologies such as artificial intelligence, it has become easier than ever
to handle large volumes of data and make crucial business decisions based on
the insights derived from the data. You need technology to streamline the
decision making process. There is a need to keep track of customer and market
data.
