F. Actuators
(1) The seat can be equipped by two types of actuator:
AVIAC actuator (V F0396)
Or
LABINAL actuator (V F0358)
(2) AVIAC and LABINAL actuators have the same external characteristics. Internal design
is different.
AVIAC actuator is equipped with 1 AC motor. When a displacement is selected, power
is applied to motor and an electromagnetic system selects the gear mechanism.
Electromagnetic brake releases the gear mechanism in order to move the seat.
PAGE 3
PAGE 4
PAGE 5
NOTE : Only the first operated switch selects the movement. It is not possible to move at
the same time the seat in horizontal and vertical displacement
(a) Powered control
Press the control switch (see figure 4), the motor is supplied until the front or the
rear limits are reached.
The electrical displacement rearward is done until the storage position is reached.
The action on the control switch must be done in the direction of the desired
displacement.
When you release the switch, the electromagnetic brake in the actuator, stops the
seat bottom immediately. On the seat equipped with AVIAC actuator, you may
hear the motor for a few seconds.
In case of overloading conditions or end travel for horizontal displacement, the
actuators have the same reactions.
AVIAC actuator stops immediately after the over torque detection.
LABINAL actuator stops immediately after the over current detection.
If you press the switch in the same direction, power is applied to the motor and
immediately cuts off. You may hear the motor for a few seconds.
NOTE : A load generated by the occupant and applied in the opposite direction of
the displacement of the seat can be a cause for an over torque detection
(b) Mechanical control
The electrical displacement may be overridden manually by actuating the handle
marked H (see figure 4).
Pull upward the handle H and apply a pressure on the seat bottom in the direction
of the desired position.
(2) Vertical displacement
NOTE : Only the first operated switch selects the movement. it is not possible to move
at the same time the seat in vertical and horizontal displacement
(a) Powered control
Press the control switch (see figure 4), the motor is supplied until the up or down
limits are reached.
The action on the control switch must be done in the direction of the desired
displacement.
PAGE 6

seat bottom immediately. On seat equipped with AVIAC actuator, you hear the
motor for a few seconds.

LABINAL actuator stops immediately after the over current detection.
When the switch is pressed in the same direction, power is applied to the motor
and immediately cuts off. You hear the motor for a few seconds.
(b) Mechanical control
The electrical displacement may be overridden manually by actuating the handle
marked V (see figure 4).
With the seat bottom in up position, pull upward the V handle, the seat bottom
should automatically rise.
Pull upward the V handle and apply a downward pressure on the seat bottom.
B. Seat back
The seat backrest is adjustable within the limits of (-7° ±1° - 27° ±1,5°) with the R handle
(see figure 4).
Pull upward the R handle and apply a rearward pressure on the seat back in order to recline
it. The seat back rest is locked in the desired position by releasing the handle.
Pull upward the R handle, the seat backrest automatically comes back to forward position.
PAGE 7
C. Head rest
The headrest is adjustable in the desired position (up or down and recline) by simple
pressure.
D. Lumbar rest
Turn the upper knob (see figure 5) in order to reach the desired vertical position.
Turn the lower knob (see figure 5) in order to reach the desired horizontal position.
PAGE 8
E. Armrest
Push the adjusting button (installed at the end of the armrest), and raise the armrest in the
desired position. Release the adjusting button in order to lock the armrest in the desired
position.
The armrest may be stored behind the seat backrest. Lift the armrest to the up position
and turn it in order to put it in the storage position.
F. Assist armrest (For the seat P/N TAAI2-33 SERIES)
Turn the knurled knob (see figure 6) installed at the end of the assist armrest in order to tilt
the assist armrest in the desired position.
Turn the knurled knob (see figure 6) installed on the side of the assist armrest in order to
incline the top armrest in the desired position.
The assist armrest may be stored, lift the assist armrest to the up position (a gas cylinder
keeps the armrest in this position).
