Performed as PMC for Concept/FEED design of Biofuels Refinery ($2.4 bn; 8000 TPD of rapeseed) for
Petrixo at Fujairah at Petrofac, Woking, UK; who was the design contractor and Eco-fining by UOP,
crushing & oil-extraction by DESMET/Andritz, FAME by Lurgi and gasification by Chinook were the
Licensors. Key activities in this role besides developing corporate strategic documents.
PMC support to develop HSE deliverables for FEED and contribution to develop HSE design
Philosophy documents to meet Petrixo requirements.
Evaluate HS&E relevant design documents to ensure works are executed in accordance with

ESD system, gas piping modifications and providing HAZID and HAZOP support across a number of
projects. SIL-LOPA assessment using ExSilentia, Hazard Area Classification, Fire & Explosion
assessment with DNV Phast, DSEAR assessment, Design Risk Assessment and Risk registers and action
management and other usual Technical Design safety supports such as Escape, Evacuation & Rescue

Responsibilities included detailed design of fire protection system including analysis & hydraulics

and Datasheets, Hydrant & Monitor location layout, Fire & Safety Equipment Layout, Escape Route

Responsibilities included the fire safety design for a number of structures, including the design of fire
detection and protection systems including foam deluge, sprinkler and inert gas. Coordination of
