In this activity, watch a film entitled "Five Feet Apart". You will make a reflective
essay of at least 250 words about the movie and then relate it to the different
Nursing Interventions to promote Healthy Psychosocial Responses.

The story in the film "five feet apart" is around an illness called cystic fibrosis
and follows two people who are affected by it. Despite the fact that their condition
precluded them from having any form of physical contact with one another, they
eventually fell in love during the course of the film. Stella, the protagonist of the film,
is the one who meets Will, a man who suffers from the same sickness as she does.
Will is in the same boat as she is. They are not permitted to come too close to one
other and must maintain a six-foot gap between them at all times. They used a five-
foot cue to measure the distance, which they will hold to maintain a distance of six feet
at all times. This is done in order to safeguard their overall health. Many of the
conditions for a healthy relationship were not met in their partnership as a result of
their condition, significantly impacting the relationship's quality. Basic human needs
were not satisfied, which had an impact on their relationship as well as their mental
health. It also prompted them to behave erratically as teenagers, putting them in a far
more difficult predicament.
Assessing the patient's mental health, building rapport with the client, and
improving their mental health condition are all feasible nursing interventions. We can
also recommend them to a psychologist or a psychiatrist for a thorough examination.
Furthermore, if it is in their best interests, we can allow them to join particular support
groups. Lastly, we can have them visited by friends and loved ones at least once a
day to develop healthy psychosocial reactions and establish relationships. Personal
protection equipment (PPE) can be used to safeguard the patient.
