Note:
The tools and instruments listed abo ve are not packaged with the SE2200 and users
have to prepare them.
If the installation is not prepared as required, fill out the Onsite Work Liaison Form to
declare the reason for kickoff postpone.

If the customer needs immediate kickoff, require the time when the installation will be
prepared.
Excellent grounding is fundamental for the stable operation of the equipment. It is also
the prerequisite for the access network to withstand lightning strikes and interferences.

Check carefully the grounding conditions of the installation site, and make sure the
equipment is well grounded.
2.3.4 Workbench
Following are the rules that you should observe when installing the equipment:
Leave enough space at the air intake vents and air exhausting vents to ensure
adequate ventilation of the equipment chassis.
Make sure that the workbench has a good ventilation system.
Make sure that the workbench is stable enough and can support the weight of
the equipment and the installation accessories.
Make sure that the workbench has been well-grounded.
Check whether computer desks, chairs, power sockets, and a telephone for external
communication are provided in the network management system room. These are
necessary facilities for project installation. All items that may be used should be taken
into consideration according to the site situation.
2.4 Unpacking
After the project begins, the project supervisor should check the products together
with the customer.

If the outer package is damaged or soaked; or the equipment is soaked and becomes
rusty, stop unpacking and find the cause. Feed back the situation to the local Huawei
representative office.
Note:
To protect the equipment and find out the cause, move the unpacked equipment
indoor for proper storage, and take a photo for the storage site, the rusty or corroded
equipment, packing cases, packaging materials. Keep these phot os and store the
unpacked packing cases and packaging materials.
If the out er package is in good condition, follow the procedure below to unpack and
check the equipment.
1) Unpack the case labeled "contains Pack ing List”, and take out the Pack ing List.
Check the case according to the Pack ing List.
2) If shortage and miscarriage occur, fill in the Cargo Shortage and Miscarriage
Report.
3) If cargo damage occurs, fill in the Cargo Replacement Application Form.
4) Sign the Pack ing List together with the customer.
Warning:
In transporting and moving equipment, components or parts, avoid their colliding with
doors, walls or shelves.
Never touch the uncoated surface of equipment, parts or components with sweat
soaked or dirty gloves.

Warning:
Do not put the wooden c ase upside down. Otherwise, the equipment will suffer severe
damages.
Cart ons are usually used to pack cables, circuit boards and terminal devices. During
transportation, these circuit boards are usually put in anti-static bags. When
unpacking the circuit boards, you need to take anti-static measures to avoid any
damage to these boards.
Never throw away the carton with articles not taken out. It is recommended t hat one
person be in charge of a carton solely and check the pres ent carton before he
unpackes the next one. The carton shall be confirmed to be empty before it is thrown
away.
The following table lists the parts and accessories that are essential t o make an
SE2200 function.

Keep the equipment far away from the heat sourc es and water/liquid.
Make sure that the equipment has been correctly grounded.
Wear ESD-preventive wrist strap during installation and maintenance, make
sure that the strap has good skin-cont act.
Do not hot swap the main cont rol units of the equipment.
Do not plug/unplug cables if there is electricity.
Connect the cables to the ports appropriate to them.
Use Uninterrupted Power Supply.
