OUTLINE

• TITLE: The title should be clear, concise, and informative. It should accurately reflect
the topic of the project. It should be the cover page of the proposal.

• BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY: A brief overview of the history of the problem, the
relevant theories and research, and the gaps in the existing knowledge.

• PROBLEM STATEMENT: A concise and specific statement that describes the issue or
problem that the research project addresses. Students should tailor it to their titles.

• AIM AND OBJECTIVES: What you hope to achieve and the steps you will take to
achieve your aim. A student must have at least 2 objectives at the time of submitting the
proposal.

• SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY: The contributions and impact of the study. The
proposal should torchlight who benefits from the research findings and how. Any student
whose research is insignificant should be sent back to the Project Coordinator to redo a
significant research.

• PROPOSED METHODOLOGY: The methodology section should describe the


methods that will be used to achieve each objective listed.
• TIMELINE: Each student should develop a Grant chart for his project, The Grant chart
should provide a detailed plan for the completion of the project. Students may wish to
refer to the milestone sent.

• EXPECTED OUTCOMES: The expected outcomes section should describe the


expected results of the project. It should include a discussion of the impact that the
project is expected to have.

• REFERENCES: The references section should list all the sources that were used during
the proposal only, APA7 will be used strictly.
