A message from
our Vice-Chancellor
As both the Vice-Chancellor and double graduate of Coventry University, you will struggle to find
someone to whom this university means as much as it does to me. That’s why it gives me great
pleasure to be able to play a small part in your decision to study with us.

I hope we have shown you in this prospectus what sets Coventry apart. Our forward-thinking
approach, modern facilities and focus on practical learning have resulted in Coventry being ranked
the 15th university in the UK1 as well as the University of the Year for Student Experience 2019 2.

We are proud to be consistently rated highly in the National Student Survey, as well as being rated
Gold for outstanding teaching and learning3. The best thing about this, especially from your point
of view, is that it shows we have a great track record in delivering a quality education that meets
our students’ expectations.

It’s an exciting time for the city too – since our historic inception back in 1843 as the Coventry School
of Art and Design, we have played an integral role in the narrative of the city, and are proud to have
contributed towards Coventry being named UK City of Culture 2021. This is a fantastic achievement
for our city and we cannot wait to see what winning this award brings for us in the near future.

Come to one of our Open Days and discover for yourself why thousands of students choose this
award-winning university every year.

We’ll put your future first.

If you’d like to find out more about the university and the
subject, or subjects, you’re interested in, attending an
Open Day is a great opportunity to meet our academic
staff and current students and ask them any questions
you may have.

It’s also the best way to get a real feel for what it would be
like to study here. You will have the opportunity to find out
more about our courses, our approach to teaching and
learning, and our facilities. You can also find out about
the support we offer to all our students, including careers
advice and international placement opportunities.

You will be able to go on a walking tour with a

current student and also see first-hand our student
accommodation, on and around campus.

We also run smaller ‘drop-in’ events on specific

Wednesday afternoons. These are informal opportunities
for you to speak to our staff and get a taste of what we
can offer.

Alternatively, you can join one of our student-led tours

which take place on weekdays throughout the year.
These offer an extended walking tour of the campus and
its immediate surroundings, with the option to finish with
lunch in TheHub in the centre of campus.

For a virtual tour visit www.coventry.ac.uk/virtualtour.
