Scope Description
In scope
Implementation of new state-of-the-art process units, which are:

• Physical separation units: Primary Distillation - DP1, Vacuum distillation - DV3 and Gas recovery -
RG1 and RG2.

• Catalytic Reform Unit (RCA)

• Conversion units: Fluid catalytic cracking units - FCC and Flexicoking - FCK

• Sulfur reduction units: Diesel hydrotreatment –HTD, Hydrotreatment of Naphtha - HTN and FCC
Naphtha Hydrotreatment - HTF

• Auxiliary units in charge of the Cobra - SCL consortium

Out of scope
• Track and sidewalk Project.
• Home improvement near the refinery.
Acceptance Criteria
• Compliance with international construction standards.
• Decrease sulfur pollution in fuels up to 10 parts per million
• Comply with the increase in production capacity and estimated time
of 95,000 barrels per day.
Project Deliverables

🠶 21 new tanks (1.5 million barrels of capacity).

🠶 Processes units and facilities oriented to improve the quality of the
products.
🠶 Desulfurize and cleaner fuels
🠶 Improve the octane rating of gasoline.
🠶 Process heavier crudes.
🠶 Reduce waste production.
🠶 New facilities that the modernized refinery will require.
