1. General Properties
The STEULER Adhesive System 3 consists of the components Steuler Primer P 3, Steuler
Adhesive K 3-S and Steuler Hardener H 3 and is used for bonding of pre-vulcanised
Steuler soft rubber sheets onto steel and concrete substrates. Furthermore, non vulcanised
soft rubber sheets on base of chloroprene rubber can be installed on site with this adhesive
system. The Steuler Adhesive System 3 has a short application window and is mainly used
as repair adhesive. Furthermore, this adhesive system is CHC-free and features high bond
strength values.

3.1 Primer
After the substrate preparation as described in the pertinent Technical Information Sheet of
the rubber sheets, the one-component primer Steuler Primer P 3 is applied.
Note: On stainless steel substrates Steuler Primer P 2A must be used.

Consumption Approx. 0,2 kg/m² per coat
The adhesive mixture, consisting of Steuler Adhesive K 3-S and Steuler Hardener H 3, is
thoroughly mixed and applied onto the primed substrate and/or the correspondent side of
the rubber sheet. To obtain a homogeneous mixture, the Hardener H 3 has to be stirred for
at least 1 min. into the Adhesive K 3-S.

The drying times given above refer to an ambient temperature of +20° C and 65% relative
humidity. After the minimum drying times, the rubber sheet is covered with a linen or PE-
sheet and rolled. The real necessary drying times depend on the site conditions.
The linen has to be washed, ironed (free from pleats) and free from threads and fluff.

Shelf Life at a storage temperature of +20° C in closed original containers under observance
of the storage conditions acc. to DIN 7716.
