Data Model to Business Configuration UI Syne Enhancements Previously, when uploading the Succession Data Model and country/region-specific Succession Data Mode from Provisioning, several configuration changes from XML did not sync to Business Configuration UI (BCU). This caused differences between BCUI and data model. To, maintain consistent configurations between XML and BCU! and to achieve harmonized behaviour with BCUI, the date ‘model has now been enhanced. Effective-Dated Time Profile - Early Adoption This feature allows users to make effective-dated changes to the Time Profile object, such as adding or removing time types on a certain date, without having to create a new time profile and add an effective-dated entry in the employee's job information Instead, you can make the change in the Time Profile object for all users assigned to that time profile. Effective dating ensures that there is no time gap between records and enables you to track historical data accurately. This feature is inthe Early Adoption phase. Hire Date Correct ns No Longer Allowed in Job Information History Ul The system no longer allows you to change the hire date of a user in the Job Information History Ul. You can however still change a rehire date for a user rehired with their old employment record. Hire date changes can be done using the Hire Date Correction tool Here's a screenshot of the enhanced feature. This enhancement ensures data consistency across HRIS entities, 4. The system warns the user that deleting or deactivating a foundation object leads te inconsistencies in employee data. If an object references that foundation object, the object reference breaks. Please check relationships to other objects and to employee data before deleting or deactivating @ foundation object. For more information about deleting foundation objects, refer to the Related Information section, ‘© Ulclean-up. We're removing all MDF-based foundation objects from the Manage Organization, Pay and Job Structures UI because you can't manage them here, How It Looks Now ~ Warning Message: Deleting the foundation object record can lead to data Inconsistencies inthe system. Check and delete the {relationships ofthe foundation object before delting the object. Last Updated by Source Information Added to Employee Central History Uls The “last updated” by source information is now provided on records created or changed using business processes or input channels running on Centralized services. Last updated by source details are shown for the following records saved using Centralized services: # Job Information # Job Relationships © Compensation Information For records saved using a process enabled on Centralized services, the system now shows through which business process the last change was made For records not saved using a process enabled or Centralized services, the system still hows which user last made changes on which date, This allows transparency to changes of the record especially for follow up processes such as transfer direct reports. This source information can help explain why records are created by a user who does not have direct permission for this change. New Company Code Object from Master Data Integration to Employee Central Employee Central now supports the integration of a new object called Company Code from SAP Master Date Integration. Company Code corresponds to Legal Entity ir SAP SuccessFactors. This feature is now in the Early Adoption phase. Employee Central acts as a consuming system of the Company Code object and receives Company Code objects, from SAP S/4HANA through SAP Master Data Integration. We introduced this new integration object so that customers can get company code master data from SAP S/4HANA and reuse it in Employee Central How It Looks Now: 7. The token is named TIME_OFF_STATUS. SAP added this token in response to customer requests for additional tokens. This new token helps to distinguish the email notification by the status of the absence. For example, whether the absence was in Pending status or Pending Cancellation status. In the previous version, rules for HRIS elements anc Foundation Objects were created using the Basic rule scenario, 9, Role-Based Permission for Emergency Contacts Import Entity Role-based permission is now supported for Emergency Contacts import entity under Employee Central Import Entities. When this permission is enabled, the data for Emergency Contacts is imported along with its correspon 1g address information. By default, the Emergency Contacts permission is displayed only on Employee Central enablec instances. We've added the Emergency Contacts permission te Employee Central Import Entities, as this permission provides flexibility for users to set permissions at an entity level. In the previous version, the Employee Central Import Entities permission category didn't support Emergency Contacts permission 10. Updates to the People Section in Company Structure Overview Side Panel SAP made two updates to the People Section in the side panel in the Company Structure Overview (CSO), © Only up to 1000 employees are displayed in the People section of the side panel at a time. You can use the search bar to search among employees, including those that aren't currently displayed * The system doesn't consider an employee's permission to User Permissions > Employee Central Effective Dated Entities > View History and View Current of an entity when it calculates the value of Full-Time Equivalents for an entity in the CSO. SAP made these enhancements to make system behaviour more consistent and to improve system performance. In the previous version, there wasn't a limit on the number of employees shown in the People side panel. The system calculated the FTE value based on a user's permission for the respective entity. This could lead to performance issues 11. Tooltip Added for HRIS Elements and Fields SAP added a tooltip for standard HRIS elements and fields on the Business Configuration Ul. Empty Effective Date Field By Default in Personal Information, Addresses, and Dependents Blocks On the Editing UI of People Profile blocks for effective- dated person entities Fersonal Information, Addresses, and Dependents, the date input field for the effective date is now empty by default and users are required to enter ¢ date before updating the information. Previously, the default effective date on the Editing Ul was set to the current date. We made the enhancement to help ensure that users manually enter the exact effective date, which is usually not the current date.
