EXT. DARK AND EMPTY ROOM - NIGHT

It cuts from a black screen to a centralised framing shot from the back of The SCAMMER
with the outline of his body lit up by a computer screen (White Light). The only sounds are
an overexaggerated keyboard TYPING and the muffles of a voice talking through a phone
call. The SCAMMER is wearing a black hoodie with a mask covering his face.

SCAMMER
Hello? Am I speaking to Mr.
Martin Smith?

MARTIN (O.S)
Yes… [Pause], Speaking?

SCAMMER
Hi, I’m calling from…

The SCAMMER pauses to double check his information and look at his computer screen,
squinting his eyes, it cuts to a website of MARTINS internet provider, Sky Broadband.

SCAMMER
…I’m calling from Sky
Broadband. It seems with
Your recent internet purchase,
That you have been granted a
Free Upgrade to your
subscription.

MARTIN (O.S)
Oh brilliant! So how exactly
Does this work?

SCAMMER
First off I must confirm
that I am contacting the
Right address. To do this ill
Need The card number which you
Originally purchased our
Broadband from. Then ill need
The address that your internet
Connection is installed in. After
That we should be all good to go
And will get you your free
Upgrade within 4 working days.

MARTIN (O.S)
 Thank you so much! My sons
Always on about how he cant
Play his games because the
Internet is too slow. Thank
You so much for this!

SCAMMER
No problem. Now if you read
Out your bank account number
For the registered card then
We can confirm this for you
And get your free upgrade.

The camera cuts back to the same centralised shot the audience first see as the caller gives the
SCAMMER their private information. The SCAMMER fiddles with a pen and clicks it up
and down, showing his nerves as he gets closer to gaining the information. After a few
seconds it cuts back to the last scene of the SCAMMER on the phone.

SCAMMER
Excellent. If you check your
Emails between now and 4
Working days you should get a
Confirmation email which will
Confirm your free upgrade and
Explain what you must do to
Claim it.

MARTIN (O.S)
Thank you so much.

SCAMMER
No problem. Have a lovely
Day and we hope to hear from
You soon.

The camera cuts to a close up of the SCAMMERS computer screen as we see an amount of
money as £0.00. He taps his finger against the table waiting anxiously. The amount of money
rises from £0.00 to £5,000.00. It then cuts to see the SCAMMERS mask as the computer
screen lights up his face/mask. He moves his head up, grinning under the mask with a sinister
look which we can see as his eyes change through the mask. It cuts back to the same
centralised shot for a third time as we see the SCAMMER pick up his phone to dial and make
another call.

PHONE RINGING
 SCAMMER
Good evening, I’m calling from
Lloyds bank and I have just
Been informed that you have
A large sum of money waiting
To be collected.

CALLER (O.S)
Fuck off! Go get a life.

The CALLER hangs up on the SCAMMER. The SCAMMER becomes furious and starts
throwing his phone down and hitting his desk. After he calms down, there is a severe lack of
music and sound.

PHONE RINGS

The camera cuts to a long shot, slowly zooming in onto the phone as it focuses on text saying
“No Caller Id”. The camera then cuts to a dolly zoom effect on the SCAMMERS face/mask
as a suspenseful ambience/sound plays, showing the severe shock and how scared the
SCAMMER is to know someone has his phone number. The camera finally cuts to his hand,
cautiously picking up the phone as his hand and arm shakes in fear. He puts the phone to his
ear and answers it.

SCAMMER
Um… Hello?

The shots cut between the callers as appose to the voice overs from the previous callers. The
caller, DETECTIVE EDWARDS, is wearing a black coat and seems very confident, Due to
the amount of knowledge and authority he has, as he walks down the road and talks to the
SCAMMER. The camera only cuts to his mouth as he speaks on the phone which shows the
anonymity of this character.

DETECTIVE EDWARDS
I know who you are

SCAMMER
Who is this?

DETECTIVE EDWARDS
I know who you are…
[Pause] Daniel Jones
 SCAMMER
I think you’ve got the wrong
person, who the hell even
are you!

DETECTIVE EDWARDS
Lets just say the MET police
Are onto your little scams
Mr. Jones.

SCAMMER
Look you’ve got the wrong
Person so fuck off.

DETECTIVE EDWARDS
You know we don’t just
know your name. For instance,
Did you know were currently
Tracking your current location.

SCAMMER
How are you doing that?

DETECTIVE EDWARDS
You really shouldn’t keep
Using the same phone for all
Your calls.

SCAMMER
Your lying. There is no way
You have access to that sort
Of technology. Now answer me
And tell me who you are!

The DETECTIVE hangs up the phone which we can tell when we hear the sound from the
SCAMMERS end of the call. Everything becomes dead quiet as the SCAMMER lifts up his
mask quickly and has a terrified look on his face. It then cuts to a long shot as the camera
slowly zooms in on the door handle of the SCAMMERS room. A severe lack of sound builds
up tension.

THE DOOR HANDLE MOVES

It cuts to black quickly where the title card plays: No Caller ID

FINAL CUT TO BLACK
