1. General
Roller coasters is a newly designed large-scale scooter-type amusement
machine. The equipment uses a lifting mechanism to lift the cars with the cockpit to
the highest position of the track, and then releases the car to move forward along the
track with a certain slope on its own potential. The track has straights, bends,
downhills, and also wavy tracks, with unpredictable twists and turns. Cars travel on
such tracks based on gravity and centripetal force. The car rotates, dives, and also has
soft bumps and tilts, thus passengers feel relaxed and comfortable.
This amusement machine has a reasonable design structure, safe and reliable,
and easy to maintain. The various safety technical parameters comply with the
"Amusement Facilities Safety Technical Supervision Regulations", "Amusement
Facilities Safety Specifications" (GB8408-2008) standards and "General Technical
Requirements for Sliding Amusement Machines" (GB18159-2008) standards. It’s
suitable to be used for all types of amusement park (field).
2. Equipment structure and main technical parameters

1、Equipment structure
The equipment mainly includes: sliding car, track, and track supporting
mechanism, electrical system, lifting mechanism, braking system, platform and
operating room.
The sliding car is composed of a cockpit, a frame and a wheel system, not driven
by power supply. Each cockpit can accommodate four people at the same time. This
equipment is equipped with five cars, each of which runs independently on the track.
The track of the roller coaster is double-track. In order to save space, the track is
arranged in three layers along the height direction, with several sections of straight
lines and arcs connected to form a self-closed circular mechanism. The track is
welded and formed by seamless steel tubes with a total length of about 320 meters.
Several braking devices are installed along the full length of the track, which can
control the running speed of the cars and even brake to stop, therefore avoiding
collisions between adjacent cars when the distance is too close, and avoiding fear or
discomfort to some passengers due to excessive speed.
The track support structure frame is an important structure to support the track.
It uses most of materials and its structure manufacturing process is most complicated.
Due to the relative height difference between support points of track, the height
coordinates of columns of track support frame are different. The maximum height of
column is 10 meters. Columns are evenly distributed and installed along the entire
length of the track. In order to ensure the safety and reliability of cars, it not only
requires the support frame column to have sufficient strength, rigidity and stability,
but also the support structure frame is required to have overall rigidity and stability.
The support frame columns are made of steel pipes, and the columns are connected
with each other by rigid tie rods welded by structural steel profiles, which makes the
equipment support frame become an integrated steel frame structure, further
increasing the safety and reliability of the track and adding magnificent vibe to the

equipment and looking good.

Platforms are set and installed at the end of the symmetrical section of the
circular track. It is a rectangular platform-shaped steel frame structure. Three of them
are surrounded by tracks. When the equipment is not running, each car can park on
the track there, which is convenient for passengers to get on and off. There is a
staircase on the other side of the platform. Passengers can enter and exit the platform
through the stairs. Non-slippery pattern board is laid on the platform surface. In order
to broaden the vision of equipment operators, the operating room is installed on the
platform, which is convenient to monitor the condition of cars running at any position
on the track. The control cabinet of the electrical system and braking system is
installed in the operating room.
The electrical system of roller coaster uses an external power supply to provide
power, which is provided to the drive system and the brake system in two lines. The
drive system adopts three-phase alternating current. Speed and torque output by the
motor are decelerated and the torque raised by the reducer mechanism, and then the
chain transmission mechanism is used to intermittently lift each cars to the highest
position of the track.
The track brake system of roller coaster adopts pneumatic transmission. When
the electric motor of the brake system works, the compressor of the brake system can
simultaneously provide compressed air at a set pressure to the cylinders of the brake
mechanisms on the track. As a result, the cylinder piston controls the action of the
brake plate, clamping and braking the car or releasing the car with reverse action to
let cars continue moving forward along the track. The control operation of the electric
system and the braking system adopts the microcomputer PCC as the central
controller, which is convenient for operation and can make running of cars safe and
reliable.
The structure of the roller coaster is shown in Drawing 1：
Roller coaster is composed of several parts such as steel structure, cars, braking
system and electrical system, etc.
(1)、Steel structure part
Including track, track supporting structure frame, platform, stairs, fence and operation
room, etc., it is the part of this equipment that uses the most materials, of complex
structure and the largest manufacturing workload. It adopts structural steel profile
welding or bolt connection. In order to improve manufacturing accuracy, and
consider factors such as installation, adjustment and transportation convenience, a
certain number of components, such as track components, supporting structure
components, etc., are prefabricated. During installation and construction, the track
supporting structure frame column is welded to the embedded parts on concrete
foundation, and then the track components, supporting structure frame components,
platform, operating room, etc. are welded or bolted to form an integral rigid structure
through rigid tie rods. The operating room is made of structural steel and profiled
materials, and is installed on the plane of the platform to facilitate the operator to
monitor the operation of each cars at any position on the track.

(2)、Sliding cars
The sliding cars consists of three parts: frame, wheel system and cockpit. The
bottom frame is a box-shaped structure welded from structural steel plates. A vertical
shaft is installed in the middle, so that the cockpit can rotate around this shaft. The
bottom of the frame is equipped with a brake plate for decelerating or braking the car.
There are 2 seating at front and back of car for mounting wheel frame.
The wheel system consists of wheel carrier axle, wheel carrier and wheels.
Taking into account the structural characteristics of track, safe factor and reliable
operation, two wheel frame axles are installed behind each car, one wheel frame is
fixed at both ends of each axle, and a set of wheels are installed on each wheel frame,
including load bearing wheels, guide wheels installed on the outside and underside of
the track, which reliably constrain cars on the track and it can only run along the
plane of the track.
The cockpit is made of glass fiber reinforced plastic, and its outer surface is
sprayed with bright and eye-catching colors. The middle point of the cockpit frame
can be movably connected with the shaft on the car frame, which means the cockpit
can rotate freely around the vertical shaft.
(3)、Brake system
The braking system of roller coaster adopts pneumatic transmission. The
reciprocating motion of the cylinder piston pulls the connecting rod mechanism to
clamp or loosen the brake pads. The brake can decelerate or stop car when it is
braking. When it is released, car can pass freely. Therefore, it can control the running
state of cars. Brake is only installed at the straight section of track.
(4)、Electrical system
The electrical system of roller coaster is powered by an external power supply,
and the external power supply is routed to the distribution box through cables, and
current from the distribution box is shunted to the drive system and braking system.
The electrical control system is installed in the operating room (refer to electrical
system description).

3. Operation principle
The lifting mechanism lifts the car body to the highest point and automatically

releases the hook. Car slides downhill along the track by its own potential energy.
The track is curved, and the radius of curvature and slope are ever-changing, so the
car constantly changes its running direction and speed on the track, and constantly
rotates. The rotation direction and speed are determined by the sliding speed and the
radius of the track, and can change randomly. Under normal circumstances, the five
cars run independently on the track. In order to prevent two or more cars from
colliding, the following measures are taken in the design: First, the lifting mechanism
is intermittently lifted, that is, the first car is lifted to the highest point and after
sliding for a certain distance, then lift the second car to keep a certain distance
between two cars. Second, install a brake at a regular interval on the track. The
function of the brake is to reduce the speed or stop the car. When several cars are
running on the track, brake can ensure that only one car is running within an interval
of two brakes, that is to say, cars are isolated by brake, and there is no chance of
collision.
4. Transportation, installation and commissioning

1、Equipment transportation

Due to limit of site conditions, this equipment is manufactured in parts in factory,

and cannot be installed and commissioned in the factory. It must be disassembled,
packaged and transported to site. Simple packaging or no packaging is generally used
within China. Equipment parts should be protected from shock and violent vibration
when they are being transported, and be especially careful not to bump. For the glass
parts of the seat and the transmission mechanism, it is necessary to prevent bumps
and scratches to avoid deformation and to not affect the appearance and transmission
accuracy.
2 、Equipment installation
The installation and commissioning of this amusement equipment is the
responsibility of the manufacturer. Enterprises and individuals without construction
qualifications are prohibited from installing and commissioning this equipment.
Users are requested to make the following installation preparations.
A. The equipment foundation should be constructed strictly according to the
foundation drawing, and the installation matters should be negotiated with the
manufacturer after the foundation is completed.

B. Turn on the equipment power supply, and consider installing the construction
power supply.
C. Provide lifting equipment (mobile crane) and necessary tools for installation and
construction. And electric and gas welding equipment and related materials, such as
electric welding machine, oxygen, etc.
D. Equipment operators and maintenance personnel should work with the installers.
They can not only be familiar with the equipment, learn operation and maintenance
techniques, but also assist in the quality supervision of the installation process, and
both parties can jointly ensure the quality of equipment construction.
E. In order to improve the quality of the installation and speed up the installation
progress, users may provide accommodation and convenience for the construction
staff as much as possible.
F. The installation and construction should be strictly carried out according to the
process, and at the same time, quality supervision and inspection during the
installation process should be carried out. The installation and construction requires
the whole process control. Ensure construction quality.
G. High-strength bolts must be tightened with a torque wrench according to the pre-
tightening force requirements.

3、 Equipment commissioning

Safety first in the commissioning process, proceed in the following order:

A. Wipe the equipment clean, remove surrounding garbage and sundries, and add
lubricating oil according to the instructions to completely lubricate the equipment.
B. Check the electrical system and pneumatic system according to the instructions,
and eliminate possible faults initially
C. Place a car on the track. When push it forward and backward manually, it moves
freely. Without braking, the car can slide forward on its own. If braking applied, the
car can stop at braking point.
D. Commission the drive mechanism and turn on the drive mechanism without load.
Pay attention to the rotation direction of the driving wheel, if it was found running in

reverse direction, stop immediately. Change the direction of the motor and start again.
The correct direction is that the friction wheel pushes cars to accelerate and go
straight to the lifting chain.
E. Commissioning of the lifting mechanism; Turn on the lifting mechanism with no
load, stop immediately after starting and observe the lifting direction, pay special
attention to the chain and make sure it doesn’t move in reverse direction. Ensure the
correct lifting direction before running. Adjust the chain tension to make it properly
tightened.
F. Trial run of the first car: Release brake, and the first car slowly slides to the drive
mechanism. Pushed by the drive mechanism to the lifting chain, the car is lifted to the
highest point along the track, and then slides down the track after being decoupled.
Sliding into the platform through slopes, bends, etc. Pay attention to observe whether
there are impacts, bumps, shaking, etc. for the car, and promptly deal with problems
on the spot.
G. The electrical system and the pneumatic braking system should be adjusted
simultaneously. First car should be operated repeatedly, with the adjustment and
testing of the pneumatic and electrical systems. Properly adjust the pneumatic system
pressure to regulate braking force. It can slow down car or stop car at the brake
position. Refer to electrical instructions for electrical system adjustment.
H. This equipment has a total of five cars, and each car should be tested and adjusted
separately on the track. The purpose is to find problems that are not found in the
manufacturing process through trial operation.
I. After individual trial operation of all cars are normalized, five-car joint
commissioning and trial run can be carried out (refer to the description in the
electrical control system).

5. Description of electrical control system

1. General
The electrical part of this equipment involved in the design of the mechanical
part is mainly composed of lifting system, braking system, location detection system,
small station platform shifting system and main control console.

Car is first moved to the top of the track by the lifting mechanism, and then
naturally slides down depending on the height difference. The position of the car is
detected and transmitted to the program controller PLC via the position detection
sensors set at multiple points on the track. The PLC setting program controls the
action of brake mechanism according to the detected signal, so as to ensure that there
is sufficient distance between multiple cars to prevent them from colliding. Another
function of the braking mechanism is to temporarily decelerate and brake cars so that
it generates centrifugal force and causes passenger seat to spin. After entering the
platform, the platform shift mechanism can automatically position the car according
to detected signal.
2. Panel function description
1. 1-14# indicator light: used to indicate the location of cars on the track
2. PLC operation: indicates the working status of the PLC
3. Abnormal indication: human suspension during automatic operation process
or other failures of equipment operation
4. Insufficient air pressure indication: alarm when compressed air pressure is
lower than the minimum pressure required for equipment operation
5. Power control: Use the key to control the control power of the console
6. Emergency stop: After pressing, the control power will be cut off, the
equipment will stop all actions. Rotate to reset
7. Auto\Manual: Auto for normal operation. Manual operation is only carried out
during commissioning or overhaul.
8. Air pump on: start the air compressor
9. Air pump stop: stop the air compressor
10. 1# － 7# Drive: Press the button during manual operation and the
corresponding drive will run, and it will stop when released
11. Car transport: The operator controls the position of the cars on the platform
according to the passenger flow
12. Tractor: Control the tractor during manual operation
13. Total stop: stop the operation of the equipment from the PLC program
14. Automatic operation: After pressing the button, cars will run automatically
15. Operation suspension: stop the automatic operation of the equipment
16. 1#－9# Brake: Control the opening and closing of the brake in the manual
state
17, electric bell
18. Move cars: the car will shift automatically after pressing
3. Operating procedures
1. Close the main power switch

7. Press the automatic start button to send out the first car
8. When previous car have been lifted and sent out for a certain distance, a
reminder signal will feedback, then repeat step 5, 6, 7 to release next car.
9. The control system will automatically adjust the operation of each car and
display the relevant position on the console
10. When car enters the passenger parking space on the platform and passengers
have got off the car, move out the car in time to prepare for arrival of next car.
11. If the automatic operation process is suspended for some reason, it needs to
enter manual operation to move cars to the original position before it can be switched
to automatic again.
6. Regulations for environmental conditions and service life

⑴. Ambient temperature: whole equipment -10 ～ +40℃ (when the temperature is

lower than 0℃, the pneumatic triple parts should be kept warm above the freezing
point);
⑵. Altitude: ≤2000m;
⑶. Relative humidity: not more than 90% (25℃);
⑷. Stop running when the wind speed exceeds 15m/s;
⑸ The operation should be stopped during thunder and lightning, heavy rain, heavy
fog, ice and snow;
⑹. Motor temperature rise: <60℃.
⑺． This equipment has a design service life of eight years, and a comprehensive
technical assessment is required after that.
7. Use and Management

1. Basic requirements
1 设备的业主和使用单位必须按照国家有关规定和标准配备适用的救护设施和
一定数量经过专业培训合格的监护和救护人员
2.必须制定应急救援方案，并定期进行演习

1.设备操作维护人员必须进过培训，经严格考试合格后，取得上岗证才能上岗 ，
严禁无证人员操作
2.操作和维护人员应具备相应的基本技能，熟悉本设备的结构，性能，工作原
理及一般的故障排除方法
3.操作人员必须保持旺盛的工作精力，严禁疲劳操作

1.每天必须对设备进行规定的日检及卫生清理工作
2.每天营运之前必须对设备进行全面的检查，对压杠的锁紧等检查确认，然后

进行两次空载试运行，确认一切正常后才能接待游客正式营运
3.严格限制适宜乘坐人群（见乘客须知），对不符合本设备的乘坐条件的乘客
坚决劝阻
4.每次运行前，工作人员应引导乘客正确入座，按额定人数就位，严禁超员乘
坐，座舱保持基本平衡，禁止严重偏载，工作人员应协调乘客基本均匀就座 ，
指导乘客保持正确坐姿（背抵座椅靠背，手扶压杠）并向乘客讲解安全事项
5.乘客就位后，工作人员指导并协助乘客拉下压杠到适度压紧大腿部位
6.工作人员确认乘客正确就位后，检查压杠等安全措施到位无误后。座舱有无杂
物及其它障碍物，非乘坐人员退出站台，才可以通知控制台开始启动
7.控制台操作人员接到起动通知，先按警示铃声，使乘客有心理准备，然后按
程序启动电机开始运转
8.设备运行期间，严禁工作人员脱离工作岗位，应密切注意设备的运行情况及
乘客的动态，发现设备有异常情况或乘客有异常反应，应立即按停止按钮，
停止运行，待故障排除后方能继续运行，严禁设备带病运行
9.每次运转结束，站台工作人员要及时打开压杠，引导乘客有序离开座位
10.设备没有停稳，不得打开压杠
11.设备运行时突遇停电或其它原因设备不能正常运转，工作人员要及时疏导乘
客撤离
12.风速超过 15m/s 时应停止运行
13.雷电，大雨，大雾，冰雪天气应停止运行
14.每天运行结束后，断开各分路开关，切断总电源
15.严格遵守操作规程，建立岗位责任制，制定完善的检查，保养，维修制度，
做好营运，保养，维修记录并保存三年以上
4. Evacuation of passenger in accident
1.出现突发性故障时，例如突然断电，操作人员和服务人员可手动打开车辆前
方的制动器，并轻轻推动车辆缓慢向前滑行，车辆将自动滑进站台，要按顺
序救援，按上述方法先救援第一辆车乘客，再第二辆、第三辆.....。
2.若车辆因故停止在提升坡道上，操作人员和服务人员可在斜梯上帮助乘客打
开安全压杠和安全带，搀扶乘客走下斜梯 ，要特别注意照顾好老人和小孩。
5. Passenger notice
1.必须自觉遵守游乐场的规章制度，服从工作人员指挥
2.按次序排队上下，不得争先恐后和跨域护栏
3.禁止醉酒，高血压，心脏病，眩晕症，脊柱病患者，孕妇及其他不适合身体
剧烈运动者乘坐
4.身高 1.3m 以下者不能乘坐，60 岁以上者谢绝乘坐，未成年必须有大人陪伴才
能乘坐
5.乘坐时不能携带容易洒落的物品如（手机，眼睛等要妥善保管）
6.乘客就位后要背抵靠背，拉下压杠并压紧大腿，待压杠锁紧后，配合工作人
员安全检查，乘客必须自行检查压杠是否锁紧（检查方法是向前推压腿部的
压杠，推不动为锁定）静待设备锁定
7.设备运转中要保持正确坐姿，手扶压杠，严禁乱摇乱晃及作出各种危险动作，
严禁抛洒杂物
8.在运行中如遇身体不适，要立即向工作人员示意，停止设备运行

9.运行中如遇突然停电，或其他故障，乘客必须听从工作人员指挥，安全疏导，
有序下客
10 运转结束，待压杠开锁后，向前推开压杠，有序离开设备
11.违反上述规定者，责任后果自负
8. Maintenance

1.使用单位要严格执行日检，周检，月检，年检制度，检查内容见（表一），
（表二），（表三），（表四），（表五）必要时需不定期增加检查内容
2.对需要润滑的运动部件要按规定进行润滑，润滑点位置及周期见（图五）
3.经常检查各重要焊缝，如发现裂纹要立即检查分析原因，消除隐患，及时补
焊，严禁带病运行
4.定期检查各紧固件连接是否有松动，发现情况立即处理
5.要特别注意对身体束缚装置安全检查，每天运行前要仔细检查压杠的可靠性，
检查压杠锁紧装置是否可靠，决不能待安全隐患运行
6.每半年对主要结构件进行全面检查，消除腐蚀点的锈蚀，补漆，锈蚀严重的
要请原制造厂或有资质的单位进行评估修理
7.本设备每年按国家规定经有资质部门安全检测合格后才能继续使用
9. Equipment lubrication

设备润滑是一项经常性工作，对于设备的安全运行和使用期限有着十分重要的
意义。润滑工作应与设备维护保养、安全检查同时进行；新安装的设备及改造和
检修过的设备，在使用前都必须进行一次全面润滑。在进行润滑之前，必须把灰尘清除干
净。有关事项请参照润滑事项说明和检查维护润滑图:

1. 用户须知
⑴．请用户在设备、资料移交后妥善保存设备的订货合同、购货凭据及合
格证、设备使用说明书、设备质量证明书等随机技术文件。
⑵．用户需配备有一定技术水平的机械、电气维护人员，并应熟悉且遵守
《设备使用维护说明书》有关安装、使用、维护及安全的规定。
⑶．按合同约定，设备质保期为一年，时间按设备正式移交日起计，若属
使用和管理不当、自然灾害及其它不可抗力造成的损坏和故障，不属
质保范围。
⑷．用户在对设备需要维修时，请及时与我公司联系，对设备进行重大或
危险部位进行维修时，必须严格按照国家有关规定聘请有特种设备维
修资格的合格的专业技术人员对设备进行维修；因维护不当引起的质
量问题，我公司不承担相关责任。
2. 技术服务

⑴.设备移交后，我公司技术人员免费对业主的技术人员、维修人员和操作
人员进行设备操作、维护、应急处理的理论说明和实际操作的培训。
⑵.在充分理解“设备使用维护说明书"的前提下，对说明书等技术资料内
容有不可理解或有异议的，请及时与培训人员沟通或与我公司联系。
⑶.在设备使用过程中有疑难问题，为及时解决遇到的问题，请及时与我
公司联系。
⑷.对用户提供长期的免费的技术咨询和指导服务，确保设备安全良好的
使用。
