Task 2:

In the modern era, when more and more sources of energy have been discovered, it
is thought that the traditional energy sources like fossil fuels should be cut out soon
and replaced by renewable ones such as solar and wind power. However, some
people still show their desire to keep on making use of non – renewable ones due
to its cost-effective price. From my point of view, I believe that it is better to give
up traditional ones and take advantage of modern energy sources instead.
Thanks to the cheap cost, people from every social class can get access to fossil
fuels easily. Another advantage of this energy sources is its availability, which
allows us to make use of them whenever and wherever we want. Moreover, this
conventional sources are so strong that we can generate a big amount of energy
with fewest fuels needed, which saves us much money. However, the
manufacturing of non – renewable energy is harmful to the environment, leading to
the rise of pollution and greenhouse effect.
On the other hand, renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power are
environmentally friendly. These energy sources emit much fewer levels of carbon
dioxide, which is the main cause of acid rain, climate change than fossil fuels.
Hence, the alternative sources of energy make us less dependent on the traditional
ones, cutting back on air pollution. What’ s more, these energy sources are
renewable, which means they are unable to run out and can be used in a lifetime.
The operation and generation of solar and wind power require modern facilities
such as solar panels, wind turbines which are quite expensive at first though stable
and saving in the long run.
To conclude, it’s my firm belief that renewable energy sources outweigh non-
renewable ones. Hopefully in the future, humans will make the most use of them
and change our planet into a cleaner and safer place.
